CNN Late Edition (Wolf Blitzer)
- Meme:
- If only the Democrats were in charge peace would spontaneously break out in the world (remember how successful Jimmah Carter was?)

- Guests
- Stephen Hadley: National security adviser
- Wolf Blitzer has the long knives out for this guy!

- Didn't they give us the Jihadi's in Iran in the first place?
- And we should listen to him because....?
- Sen. Bill Frist, R-Tennessee: Majority leader
- Since he hasn't got a prayer of winning the nomination, let alone the presidency, think of this as the opening of his farewell tour
- Sen. Patrick Leahy, D-Vermont: Judiciary Committee member

NBC Meet The Press (Tim Russert)
- Meme:
- Newt is damaged goods, therefore NBC will promote Newt's candidacy to try to make him the 2008 GOP nominee

- We say that the NSA programs are all bad, therefore they're bad. Don't listen to anyone else.
- Topics:
- Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich (R-GA) joins Tim Russert on this Sunday's "Meet the Press" to discuss the state of the Republican Party, the issues of ethics in Congress, Immigration, Domestic Surveillance, and Iraq -- as well as share his thoughts on the 2006 -- and 2008 -- elections.

- Judy Woodruff.
- What would you like to ask this week's guests? (web page for submitting questions for this weeks show)
- Meet the Press mailbox (web page for comments)
This is NOT intended to be the live Sunday Morning Talk Show thread. I trust AB will do that as usual. This is strictly a preview of who will be on the main shows. The idea is to give folks a chance to muster their resources for that thread. I would particularly ask that anyone with specific knowledge or resources about the topics / guests announced for these shows post them here so that the rest of us can go into the shows with a heads up on what to look for.

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart. It's SO RARE that I get to do that, that I will take the compliment to my grave!!!
I was anticipating a few responses from CA residents but I guess they know the truth when they hear it. Actually, we have some good freepers in CA, but none that seem to be willing to defend San Francisco. ROFLOL

You just gotta love ABC - deciding to observe Mother's Day by trashing Laura Bush!
To: Txsleuth
No offense, but Laura Bush and Lynn Cheney are not liberal.
You're right as to who the shows have on, but that's nothing new. We know that happens and that's one of the reasons we come together to combat them every week.

OH...dear, I really goofed...but, notice the line by Laura's name about immigration??
That sounds like they are going to grill her about Bush's immigration plans..
I wish they would just ask her about the schools in the Katrina area that she wants to help fix..
BTW..watching Fox News right now...looks like we may have another David Koresh scenario playing out in Texas again.

No goof.... I doubt any Sunday program host is going to be hard on Laura Bush or Lynn Cheney. These women have too much pride, class and sophistication. All traits Democrat women lack.
IF these hosts do any attack questions, they know it will come back to haunt them.
Another Koresh scenario? What's up with that? Is Tim Russert in Texas this weekend?
To: Txsleuth
Will do sleuth glad to hear you will be aboard the ship.

I am beginning to believe that they (the msm drive-bys) now realize that it is
us against them(new media vs. old).
In such a battle it's simply not in their best interest as an arm of the DNC to have many of us aboard.
We shine the light of day on their bias and it does them no good. Just look at their viewer ship and how their newspapers are folding en mass, for them to invite us on would only accelerate their demise. We have our venues and they are here on the web, on talk radio and more and more on t.v. and the odd newspaper. But not on the DNC owned shows like mtp and the rest.

I don't know if you watched Newswatch tonight or not...but at the end of the show, they always post a few e-mails from viewers..
One of them tonight said something about how they spent so much time last week discussing Bush's low poll numbers...but then posted that Bush was at 35%, Congress at 23%..and MEDIA, much lower than both of those...so what does that say about THEM!!
LOL...at least they DID post that one..and some laughed...although I doubt if Neil Gabler was one of them.

I am SO out of it when it comes to things like that. Guess I have not been paying enough attention.
