Well you have met one now. I watched that situation unfold on national television and there is no excuse for the lack of action for three days when those people were suffering and the feds had what it took to get them out of there. Don't tell me Bush did everything he could...Any of us could have commanded the situation better. All he had to do was watch and act! It's an old story but I will never believe that after the NO Mayor and LA governor had failed that he could not have stepped in forcefully. Old news, and I don't want to start a new debate on that issue, but you won't convince me it was a success of the White House, and it was one event that made me ask whose in charge anyway. Anyway I have a right to my opinion even if you don't think it is justified. BTW I've been here since 99 and just waiting for the right time to troll..right, lol. By the way why do you advertise yourself as a BushBot on your home page? Do you really think everything he does is really great?
Much as it goes against my grain to get off-topic, I must tell you that what you saw on TV was FAKE. If you are swayed by Geraldo's tears and Shep's hysterical hand-wringing, you are simply too gullible to be a conservative. Those of us who paid attention to what was going on knew who the culprits were, and it wasn't the President.
My hubby spent 4 weeks courtsey of the President in New Orleans.....it was the state and local authorities duty to take care of their citizens....don't blame the Katrina mess on this President...my hubby saw first hand the local inept leadership in NO....
Didn't you know that it was the president who FORCED the mayor and governor to order a mandatory evacuation of NO?
That FEMA's own web site says people need to be prepared for 3 days without federal help.
But despite that, FEMA was there within 24 hours (they do need to make sure the storm is over, after all) but they were SHOT at.
The NO cops walked off the job.
There were no rapes or cannibalism as reported by the hysterics like Shep Smith.
