BS. Exactly how did he force them to do that? He did explain to them the risks but none of us are privy to the conversations and he has absolutely no authority to force them to do anything ...unless he declared martial law, which he should have done...big legal discussion to follow I guess.

Precisely. They were shot at. (Don't think it was actually FEMA people that were shot at) That's exactly when Bush could have (should have) taken control from Blanko and declared martial law, nationalized the Guard and taken control of the city and put the Mayor on a bus to Albuquerque. BTW, folks cannot eat FEMA. Where were the helicopters filled with the food FEMA had stockpiled? They were at "staging" areas not being flown into the SuperDome parking lot. That's where. Where were the porta potties same place..etc.. FEMA was there in 24 hours....gimme a break. Your couldn't find FEMA anywhere. They were in Baton Rouge doing liaison work but not delivering materials to the stricken. That took three days. Even the Red Cross and their supplies were turned around by FEMA. Bush could have fixed that as soon as it cleared the TV screens.

You are welcome to your deluded view of Bush's wonderful mastery of the Katrina debacle but I'm entitled to my own opinion and calling me names won't win me over or relieve my deep disappointment in him for his delayed understanding of the situation on the ground.
