Good essay, wardaddy, tell it like it is.

I would call it the 'underbelly' of human nature.

It is one thing to be vile, petty and mean and another to do it with such glee.

How does that align with "what we are trying to accomplish here?"

In the past few days, I have had the last of the wool pulled from over my eyes.

I sadly see that what people were telling me is true.

Is it a fact, as FReeper 'winker' says, there is no longer any venue where a patriotic American can speak their mind?

When I joined up nearly 2 years ago, the discourse here was at a level worthy of citizens who call themselves conservatives.

Some, like Just Piper, have continued to conduct themselves with dignity and purpose; and some, like joanie-f, with passion and clarity.

Citizens who think for themselves and speak up bravely are far more valuable to our Republic than those who are an endless echo chamber of talking points.

But not in a society as depicted in Animal Farm.

I know what you mean.

Suddenly I find myself Persona non Grata on a lot of FR threads and I slowly figured out it was my position on the borders; even though I've never trashed the President or been one to say I'll vote for a dem or third party (because I won't), just being on the side of the Minutemen, and the sovereignty of our country, was enough for me to get my hand slapped this week.

I always thought respectful debate was what made a country stronger; obviously I've been wrong.

WINKER'S CREED

No Person can be considered a "Contributor" to America un-less they are Identified, fingerprinted, placed on the Tax rolls and Social Security with a permanent Address making them a legal Tax paying Citizen; subject to all the rights and provisions this Country provides to its citizens. Otherwise they continue to be a scab and a botch "WE THE PEOPLE"are obligated to support.

This is a pay as you go society and not a free lunch. If you live here you work here speak the FIRST Language and swear allegiance to the Constitution then you get to share equally in a system "EVERBODY" Supports and pays into! Time to come out of the woodworks and live in the open or follow your noses back across the Borders!
