"3. Twelve presidents have served exactly one full term in office. One of them served a different number of days than the other 11. Who and why? "

Jimmy Carter? I think they changed inauguration day in 1932.

The inauguration date was changed to January 20th with FDR's second inauguration in 1937, so his first term would have been shorter by a few weeks, but he doesn't quite meet the one full term requirement.

I think probably someone inaugurated on a Monday because inauguration day fell on a Sunday. Would have served a day less.

The correct answer is John Adams.

Why? Because the year 1800 was not a leap year, like the usual "every 4 years." That gives him one less day in office. Neither was 1900, but McKinley was assasinated in office, so he doesn't meet the "single-term" clause of the question.

The changing of the inauguration date doesn't work here, because it happened during FDR, which also doesn't meet the single-term.

Right. That would also affect George H. Bush, therefore the question is wrong, as two presidents were affected. Also, the year 2000 was not a leap year, which is why DIRTPOTUS (sorry, I can't seem to recall the name...) is the answer to the one about two-term presidents. As for #1, "Blaine" rhymes with "Maine". (Ran against cleveland.) As for the others, your guess is as good as mine!)
