Mansfield: A Final Warning from the Islamist Rulers of Iran?

However, given the reaction in the Arab press in the region, it seems to me Iran's neighbors are becoming more and more concerned for their own security.

It's no secret that the Iranians ("Persians"/"Aryans") look down their noses at "The Arabs" and consider them second (or third) class human beings.

If you want to drive an Iranian nuts, casually refer to him -- or, to Iranians in general -- as "Arabs". You will get an instant and very edgy tongue-lashing lecture on how, "We are NOT Arabs!" To get the same reaction out of an Arab, compare him to a dog. That is how intense is the enmity between the Iranians and the Arabs.

This of course puts the Iranians into a massive state of cognitive dissonance, since their religion -- a religion requiring absolute fanaticism -- is not only based on an Arab "prophet", but, its "holy books" are written in the "holy" language of Arabic!

They are obligated to embrace that which they despise, and hold in abject contempt.

I'm sure the CIA has some high-horsepower shrinks working on various angles to capitalize on this situation.

But, I digress.

As I said, it's no secret. In practice, what that means in this context is that the Arabs are well-aware of it.

The contempt the Arabs hold for the Palestinians (which is palpable) is matched by the contempt the Iranians hold for the Arabs. The Arabs thus have a benchmark to use to know exactly where they stand in the equation. They know what it means to be considered to be "as the Palestinians" by the Iranians.

And thus, a nuclear-armed Iran is perceived as something that will be a very real threat to their continued existence!

If things get bad enough, don't be surprised to see the Arabs (speaking of the putatively "sane" regimes, i.e., Saudi, Kuwait, Jordan, etc.) sucking up to Israel, making nice-nice, trying to get in under the unbrella as it were. Agitprop aside, they know they have nothing to fear from Israel (presuming they don't go all stupid and attack Israel).

They have no such assurances insofar as Iran is concerned.

I'll not be surprised if the sunburn missiles have shiny new tips.

It was reported two or three months ago that they, at nontrivial effort and expense, replaced the nosecones on some of their missiles, with the replacements having slightly modified internal dimensions.

Now, you tell me why they'd go to all that work and spend all that money, for a modification so trivial that, if used with a conventional explosives payload, would result in a null improvement in performance.

I find it particularly ominous that their recent cocky arrogance and belligerence occurred in the same timeframe as their nosecone replacement project.

Psycopaths don't know they are crazy.

Neither do most other people.

The psychology textbooks will tell you that psychopaths (later known as "sociopaths", and then "anti-social personality disorder" -- gotta keep morphing the nomenclature lest the "commoners" catch on to the lingo), are VERY difficult if not impossible to diagnose.

They are very effective liars and manipulators, capable of lying to someone, getting caught in the lie -- and then lying again -- to the same audience -- and, being believed, even after the people knew they'd been lied to earlier, repeatedly.

I've had the misfortune of encountering some of these people in real life (prior to the entire country enduring eight years of rule by one!), and you would not believe the crap I've seen. They are capable of anything! I'm fortunate in that I am immune to their wiles. The irony is that when I tried to warn folks -- folks who were being set up to be taken down by one of 'em -- I was seen as "the enemy", for "saying such mean things about [_____], who seems like SUCH a nice guy. Yeah, I know he lied to me before, and ripped me off, but he says he's sorry, and he really seems sincere!"

Good grief.

So, I was "the bad guy" for trying to warn folks that they were being set up to get creamed -- again. (And yeah, I did say "I told you so!" after it happened -- again!)

Anyway, psychopaths are able to get away with their crap, not so much because they "believe" it themselves, but, because they are utterly reptilian, devoid of ANY moral compass. They are bereft of conscience. Literally. I am not engaging hyperbole or symbolism. They are literally unencumbered by a conscience. "Right and wrong" simply do NOT exist in their world. The only things that matter are "can I get away with this?", and, "what will happen to me if I don't get away with it?"

They are hunters, and they view us as prey. They will "take" us with as little remorse as an angler has when he reels in a bluegill. I'm dead serious.

They are hard to diagnose, because they can very effectively mimic any desired presentation. They can pass a lie detector test with impunity. NO emotions, cold-blooded, and utterly calculating.

I'd rather deal with ten hot-headed lunatics than one reptilian psychopaths. (And I say this having dealt with more of both categories than it's really right to have inflicted in any one lifetime!)

The only thing that might be even remotely described as "emotion" that they are capable of expressing is fear -- and even then, it's not on an "emotional" basis, but rather on a cold, calculating basis.

Two of these monsters got into me for some money; one, for a very non-trivial amount of money. (And even at that, it was small potatoes compared to the money he'd taken from many prominent citizens in the community before he disappeared.)

Both of them repaid me. And, I was the only one that either of them repaid.

I later found out that the reason I was repaid was because each of these charmers was afraid that I was going to kill him.

Now, to set the matter straight, I never threatened to kill either of them. They came to that conclusion, as best as I can surmise, on the basis of their observation that I, unlike everyone else in their "sphere", was immune to their BS. They then concluded that I was "dangerous", since I could not be controlled.

Yeah, it's conjecture, but it makes sense, and no one's come up with a better explanation.

Oh, by the way -- the one who took me for a large sum (and repaid it before going on the lam) -- had taken a lot of very prominent, wealthy, influential individuals. They all quietly ate the loss, humiliated at having been taken by their "trusted friend". (He traveled in their circles.)

So, when he was arrested by the FBI about a year later in a sting they set up just for him, none of them wanted to say anything about him, and, when he finally came to trial, he was sentenced to time-served and quickly released. (He'd taken a number of lawyers, and I guess they didn't want their good names besmirched in case any of this got into the news.)

Upon his release, he was carted off to the next venue. (The FBI was called in because he'd engaged in his shennanigans in more than one state, and he spent a long time going from venue to venue, trial to trial, sentence to sentence... with any luck, he's still in prison.)

To bring this back on topic, it's a sobering realization to consider that "politics" is the perfect career-track for this type of creature.

The Media is such a powerful tool and as our technological culture propagates a generation that interacts with one another with less and less eye to eye contact, it becomes imperative that each of us take the time to speak to our family and acquaintances to spread the word that we are under attack and we must draw a line in the sand. As a registered voter and tax paying legal resident of the United States of America we urge you to provide us with your utmost commitment to providing the citizens of our nation protection of our rights, life, liberties, property, and our hallowed Constitution.

We are under attack by an ideology that demands our demise. We will not stand quiet in the eve of our destruction. And we certainly will not tolerate our elected representative to lead us to the slaughter.

We urge you to introduce a referendum on whether Islam is a religion, or an ideology.

The advantages and protections of tax-exempt status afforded to a religion should not be extended to an ideology determined to replace our Constitution with the Koran.

In spite of what the media reports, the American public is well aware that that the war on terrorism is in reality, our defensive efforts against the Islamic offensive. We are not being provided with the defense of both our rights and the sanctity of our Constitution as long as we allow the enemy to operate freely with in our borders.

Americans are concerned and are in extreme jeopardy and demand you perform your duties as both an American and elected representative.

Laura's on top of the situation again. That opportunity to capitulate and accept Islam is the prerequisite for an Islamic terrorist. If you don't accept, the terrorist has met the requirements of Allah to warn you before the attack. For Amahdinejad this was a necessary religious formality. Bush will rightly blow it off as the rantings of an Islamic nutjob. This nutjob has more than a camel and a sword to inflict some serious pain.

Amahdinejad is expecting the Mahdi within 2 years. Just in time for the next U.S. Presidential election. He knows Bush will clean his clock if he acts now. He may be biding his time in expectation of an appeasing Democrat who doesn't have the guts to strike back. That show of weakness will be the signal to strike.

Please recall this man captured and humiliated American hostages. They were captured on the American soil of our embasssy embassy. He defeated America once and thinks he can do it again. The world turned it's head and smiled approval.

There can be no more dangerous threat. He has made the required warnings. We should take his fanaticism for real.,

You are correct, sir. I have a close friend who is an engineer, and they are thick in the civil engineering field. There was a (quiet, but somewhat normal) muslim civil engineer who was MIA the week prior to, during and after 9/11 at work and then shortly thereafter moved to south Florida. He reappeared recently (in full beard and garb) at an engineering test and proceeded to tell my female friend how women should act,speak and treat their husbands,etc. He was very serious and scared the heck out of my friend.
