PRINCETON, NJ -- President George W. Bush's job approval rating has reached yet another new low for his administration, according to a new USA Today/Gallup poll. The poll, conducted May 5-7, 2006, finds that 31% of Americans approve of the way Bush is handling his job as president while 65% disapprove. Bush's approval rating is down three percentage points from last weekend, which is not a statistically significant drop, but has shown a six point decline from early April and a 12 point decline since the start of the year. The decline in Bush's approval rating has accelerated in the past month or so. His ratings were stable in the low 40% range in January and early February, then declined slightly into the mid- to upper-30% range through the beginning of April. Since April, Bush's ratings have fallen six points.

Your statement is idiotic. George and his daddy are different people. But maybe that knowledge would overtax your brain.

But even his daddy was not for no national boundaries. The new world order was not about one world government with no national boundaries anyway. It had to do with the collapse of the Soviet Union and the end of the Cold War...that is, what would replace that fact of life that had sort of controlled things for 50 years.

The Bush's aren't John Lennon, for crying out loud. "Imagine there's no countries, it's easy if you try" blah blah blah. Ha ha ha...you are pathetic in your mindless, ad hominem, spooky, scary, "the boogyman Bush's are gonna get you" attacks.

"This is what the president has done for conservatives. Not one of these things will be done with a Democrat Congress or president: "
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>........
Well Peach, your list is long, and contains many small victories..bravo..now to the other side:
1. Largest incr in Gov spending in yrs
2.expanding Dept Ed- with Kennedy no child bill
3.open borders and incr in illegals flooding the country
4. signed off on McCain anti free speech bill
5. all the issues in reducing gov employees is BS - has the size of Gov employees increased - over the last 6 yrs??
6. No vetos in 6 yrs
7. Allowed Able Danger, Barrett reports and Clinton era crimes to be swept under the rug-why
8. Gave S Berger a no jail term out after he admitted destroying secret papers- why?
9. Recent CIA fiasco- what about pursuing the leakers?
10. Wants millions of illegal illiterate mostly marxist third worlders here - why
No president does everything each one of wants - but the Immigration issue is hugh in it's implications for this country-on that BUSH gets a 0.

Small victories? No attacks on this country and you think that's small? I guess we have different goalposts.

As to the CIA leakers, have you not noticed the president has appointed people who are going after them aggressively?

Of course Peach that is very very right..I was proud to see his taking on that war..but we must also understand the risks to our country are much greater from within than what some terrorist can do..the foundation of this country is our Constitution and the rights of free men..to have millions of marxists lead by virulent anti capitalist anti republic fanatics here voting is to me a much bigger threat.

There isn't a candiate on the national stage who actually stands a chance at being elected to the presidency who has a plan to deal with immigration. On either side of the aisle.

I don't know why very few politicians are willing to tackle this issue, but that's the way it is.

Bush has ample time to recover a win for the GOP.

All he has to do is end trade agreements that have not brought good paying jobs to America, complete his promised Israel Palestine two state peace solution, cut the cost of government, issue an EO requiring illegals to register as Republican voters, have Rumsfeld to do a shuck-n-jive press conference on how Iraq insurgents sticking this fingers in ink wells will bring the troops home before November and announce Mission Accomplished on the WOT and airport security lines are not needed. Don't give up yet conservatives.

Yep Peach it is a mystery that lends support to those who some say are tin foil hat types that there really is a "Shadow Government "controlling our Presidents and Congress.

"These approval numbers do not translate into support for democrats..no matter how much the MSM wants people to think they do."

Amen to that

I agree, but they will translate into support for third party and Independents, which will work to the Dem's favor. It is a tough choice when all we have is a collection on evil, wicked, perverted crooks and another collection of evil, wicked crooks. The big contributors give to both sides and know they will have one of their evil, wicked crooks win all the time. America has become a giant sheep farm with no true choices. They let us fight over issues of passion, while they herd us directly toward the serf farms of world government.

You are absolutely correct. You can't reason with a mule wearing blinders or a turkey gobbling up the party line. It is no wonder that sick politicians repeat the party mantra and then do whatever.

Now I know what you do in your day job: write talking points for the RNC.

Well, leaving our borders open to terrorists and illegals of all stripes makes a joke out of the WOT. Without national security, all the rest is clap trap.

There is a choice, but the problem is, the vast majority of the electorate is as you say.

What we have on FR is a lot of democrats who have come here to stir up dissent.

Too much Kool-Adi dearie. I've been a registered and voting GOPer all my life and I am disenchanted with Bush and the Bush-bots can't cover his incompetence. I'll not vote Democrat unless they find some conservative who will close the borders and hang employers of illegals out to dry..But I will not vote GOP either. For the same reason I can't vote for a liberal, I can't vote for a faux conservative...The GOP had it all and has accomplished about as much as they did when they were the minority party. They want to hide behind things like the "60 vote majority" in the Senate as an excuse for lack of accomplishments when if they reinstituted the original filibuster rules they would find the 60 vote majority is a figment. They are Wimps and I cannot and will not support them until they grow some determination and courage.

ROFL. So you'll vote for someone who has no chance to win in order to NOT get your agenda passed. Oh, the irony.

The Dow reached its high in the past 6 years yesterday. This was buried in the financial pages, if mentioned at all. It would have lead every half-hour newscast had it been during a Rat administration. Instead, gas prices lead. When it comes down, it will lead. The bias of the leftist MSM is the main reason for the poll ratings.

Hummm. Did you read my post? I said I would vote for a Democrat conservative before I would vote (again) for a Republican who will not protect our borders. (IMO a Democrat who will close the borders would whip the GOP silly right now) If the GOP cannot get their act together and acomplish something besides point fingers at the Democrats they are toast and voting for them would truly be a waste of my vote. I seriously mean no GOP will get my vote if they don't get this illegal alien thing right. Laugh all you want. It's not funny and that attitude only will drive others away. How about a rational GOP answer instead of ridicule of the disaffected? (It appears all they can do is to whine that the Democrats will filibuster, boo hoo.) They are zeros with the circle rubbed out. And if you call me a democrat stirring up trouble, it shows how out of touch the GOP has become that they can't hear their base.
