Convicted Sept. 11 conspirator Zacarias Moussaoui says he lied on the witness stand about being involved in the plot and wants to withdraw his guilty plea because he now believes he can get a fair trial.

In a motion filed Friday but released today, Moussaoui said he testified March 27 he was supposed to hijack a fifth plane on Sept. 11, 2001, and fly it into the White House "even though I knew that was a complete fabrication."

anybody thinking this guy is gonna be in solitary and not be able to communicate with other prisoners is delusional.

you need to watch the Lockdown-Maximum Security shows on National Geographic.I watched them on Sunday night and what they showed was truly surprising.

guys doing hits from their cells with coded messages, drugs being sent in on cards soaked in meth, prisoners fishing notes out of toilets, etc....

this guy WILL be able to spread propaganda-shoulda been fried like an egg

As I understand the Supermax situation, his chances for social contact with Bubba will be limited.

That is too bad if true.

My recollection is that Gotti did not get any extra time away from his cell.

I might say "a waiting room for death" cause that is all he's got to wait for.

If he behaves properly, he gets more time outside and a chance to interact with other prisioners.

I think he should have as much interaction with the other prisoners as early as possible. See! I can be a humanitarian too!

U.S. District Judge Leonie Brinkema gave him six life sentences, to run as two consecutive life terms, in the federal supermax prison at Florence, Colo.

What does this statement mean? He has 6 life sentences to be served as 2 life sentences?

Nobody here but us humanitarians.

“About 22 percent of inmates have killed fellow prisoners in other correctional facilities; 35 percent have attempted to attack other prisoners or officers.”

When I heard the sentence, I literally marked out a 7X12 space in one of my classrooms and pointed it out to my students.

I am not the slightest bit suicidal or even claustrophic, but I gotta tell you I don't think I would make it a year without losing my mind.

On the other hand, I am quite willing to have him contemplate what it would be like to be trapped on the 97th floor with an inferno going on beneath you. I am willing to have him contemplate it with total concentration for a long, long, long time.

In Supermax he'll hear nothing at all. He's basically denied any human contact forever. 23 hours a day alone in a cement box is more or less it...Too bad jihad boy .

The rest of us will be having our toast buttered by robots and being driven in computer guided cars, while the last thing Moussi remembers about the world will be Seinfeld re-runs.

" Supermaxes have been called by the prisoners, torture chambers...like being in a tomb."

"Like being in a tomb". If you avoid the death penalty, you live out your miserable life in a tomb. Seems OK to me.

He has responsibility in deaths of 3000 people and billions of dollars in property damage and economic consequences

Actually, they had been hoping to kill 50,000 (the normal average daytime occupancy of WTCI/II). I'm surprised and appalled that this fact has been left out of this trial and the overall debate. This guy was not a singular actor. He was part of a plot, in an ongoing war against us. THEY TRIED TO KILL OVER 50,000 AMERICANS IN ONE ATTACK!

According to wikipedia, he gets a TV, but it will be all educational TV all the time.

The boll weavils will be boring in on this rule soon enough. First, they will insist that he should have "educational" television, such as Oprah. Then it will go on and on, until he get's Al Jazeera piped in. Just watch. Pink underwear and a Bible is all he should get -- that said, short of my previous harsher recommendations. :O))

not going to fly.

Otherwise every dead looser case defendant will plea and make an outragious claim and then after seeing the verdict make a claim for a new trial.

Now he can also be convicted of aditional purjury.

Did you read the title of the thread, nj? Do you know what the subject is?

Are you mentally unable to determine what the topic of a thread is?

Are you emotionally incapable of NOT bringing up immigration and bashing President Bush?

These are questions that plague ALL good freepers.

There seems to be a mental illness rampant on FR, and you show signs of being in its death throes......
