Bush No Longer Seen as Effective Manager (Gallup has Bush @ 31%)
Gallup ^ | 5/8/06

Posted on 05/08/2006 11:34:10 AM PDT by Recovering_Democrat

Along with the lowest overall job approval rating of his presidency, the latest USA Today/Gallup poll gives President George W. Bush record low scores for his handling of a variety of national issues and perceived leadership abilities. Since January, Bush's ratings have fallen most sharply with respect to his handling of energy policy and Iraq.

President Bush is NOT for amnesty no matter how you try to spin it.

I wholeheartedly disagree with him regarding paths to citizenship.

I want the border sealed and all of them deported and forced to gain reentry LEGALLY.

Two out of three ain't bad. His program is however amnesty. If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck and all that you know.

I absolutely disagree with you but I am not interested in debating your views, HIS WORDS and my opinion of same.

Nonsense. Even the Treason Media polls show most voters like their representatives and Senators. They just don't like everyone else's.

I think he had had more than a few bad hands. Even if this poll was 5% off towds the left, an approval rating in the mid 30s will not bring a winning hand. The key to the bad performance of the president is his collapse in support among conservatives.

Let's see. We have illegals who break into our country in clear violation of many of our laws. In return, Bush doesn't want them prosecuted. He wants to pardon their offenses by making them guest workers.

Main Entry: am·nes·ty
Pronunciation: 'am-n&s-tE
Function: noun
Inflected Form: plural -ties
: an act of clemency by an authority (as a government) by which pardon is granted esp. to a group of individuals

You really need a lesson in basic English.

Think I'm gonna be sick if we can't turn this around.

Looks like Bush either doesn't care, or he's getting enough bad advice that he can't see the light, or doesn't know how to overcome it...

One thing for sure, you can't turn it around as long as people keep pretending everything is ok...

Nobody but the biggest bot would approve of him now. All of us would vote for him again over the Dems (or stay home) but he has been a disapointment. His failures on the borders and spending and his great ability to poke the base in the eye have caused him to lose my support. I will not vote for another Bush again. His father was a RINO. He is a RINO. And his brother is a RINO.

The key to playing poker is to have an extra............. FINE card somewhere........... nice to know that it is available.

It's coming for all the congresscritters in the Republican party (even though they deserve little). Don't worry!

p.s ------ what is "towds"?

;-)

Actually in 2000, in his debates with Gore, his poll numbers rose, in pert because of lowball expectations, but the Bush campiagn got a boost in 2000 after the first debate with Gore.

When you've lost the debate you trot out the old dead horse defense. Your type always does.

The President needs to make cessation of illegal entry into the US an issue by demanding our Southern border become secure. He might even accentuate the positive by sending some help down there.

People are distrustful of a leader who can wage a foreign war but not protect the domestic tranquility.

I see your game. I already told you I have NO INTEREST in debating you which is no different from BEATING A DEAD HORSE.

You're rather dense.

You've made some good points for which you'll have hell to pay from the resident Bush groupies.

Bush's desire for a guest worker program hasn't changed since the 2000 campaign.

Yes, your resor to name calling is just the response I expected. Look, you said Bush isn't for amnesty. But he is as I demonstrated in a previous post. In response, you trot out (excuse the pun) the er.....old dead horse defense. I'd say you and your groupies are the ones beating a dead horse pretending Bush's open borders/amnesty policy isn't what it plainly is. And repeating the old dead horse mantra once more isn't debating, it's avoiding the facts. But I guess that pretense gets you through the day.
