If I remember correctly FNC said Biden was on.

Yeah, they're saying that in the on air promos now, and the TV listings show that, but the FNS web site still lists Gilchrist and not Biden.

Specter and Gilchrist were supposed to discuss immigration.  I agree with those that think they're dropping immigration as "old news" (I think because the American people don't agree with the MSM) and switching to Porter Goss.  Specter has already started making noises about blocking Hayden and raising a stink over the NSA program, so it makes sense to keep him.  Switching to Biden, though, means they'll have two harsh administration critics.  As I say, hopefully they'll let Brit and company loose on these clowns.

Personally I think this is the opening shot in the new White House communication strategy.  I detect Tony Snow's fingerprints all over this.  I'm betting the timing, the selection (maybe not specifically of Hayden, but of someone like him) and I suspect the content is very "in your face."  This is the White House saying "we're right, you're wrong and stop making unsubstantiated charges."  Hayden will not sit still for mischaracterizations of what the NSA program really is.  He'll nail Specter, Biden and the rest of the low IQ high decibels crowd in the Senate who are overdosing on ego supplements.

And Tony starts the stand up briefings tomorrow.

I repeat my predictions.  GOP pick up of 1 to 3 Senate seats and 5 to 10 in the House.
