Sorry, Cain's making too many negative blanket statements here ...
"Republicans have further wasted their majority status by barring U.S. companies from tapping domestic sources of energy, and by not easing the regulatory burdens on constructing new nuclear energy facilities."
Actually the 2005 Energy Bill *DOES* ease regulatory burdens on new nuclear nergy plants, and the changes are encouraging a new ear of nuclear power plant construction. A dozen are on the drawing board.
As for the domestic drilling, the #1 item is ANWR, and it is Senate Democrats who have stopped that.
It think these kinds of negative assessments are not helpful, when you look at it, not enough is done, but sending only the negative signals leaves as wrong a message as saying that nothing is wrong.
Another example: extending the tax cuts. The GOP have a deal to extend them 2 more years. We know the Democrats will not extend them AT ALL and the result would be a huge recession.
I think the key part is the beginning of the very statement you used...
"Republicans have further wasted their majority status..."
He is holding them accountable. They have ALLOWED this game to drag on. They have wimped out and let us down over and over again.
having things on the table is not getting things done.
They have had PLENTY of time to get things done.
I submit to you to ask yourself a question. Have you ever known ANY one, once elected, to get MORE conservative?
seems to me.. they ALWAYS move left, and NEVER move right.
Once elected. Power is too enticing. BIG government is suddenly not such a bad idea once "you" become the government.
sad and scary truth.
Have you ever listened to Herman Cain?
Do you know his history?
he doesn't waste time with PC rhetoric or perfectly mastered diplomatic speak. He drives it home. Our Elected Representatives waste our time and our money...ENDLESSLY..they are a WASTE!
Their interists are self-serving. They only seek to serve themselves, not America as a whole.
