Didn't McKinney use that same ploy. She was rushing to vote?

Evidently that excuse is planned in the event of any situation that might lead to further investigation.

It is in the Constitution that they can not be arrested when on their way to vote. I thought McKinney was just going to a meeting.

As I understand it, there is a rule or law that if a congresscritter says they are going to a vote, the police can't detain them (can't obstruct the legislature in 'action')
