The Talk Shows
Sunday, May 7th, 2006
Guests to be interviewed today on major television talk shows:
FOX NEWS SUNDAY (Fox Network): Rep. Pete Hoekstra, R-Mich.; Sens. Joseph Biden, D-Del., and Arlen Specter, R-Pa.; Washington Nationals co-owner Mark Lerner.
MEET THE PRESS (NBC): House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif.; Bush impersonator Steve Bridges.
FACE THE NATION (CBS): Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz.
THIS WEEK (ABC): Sens. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., and Saxby Chambliss, R-Ga.; Rep. Tom DeLay, R-Texas; Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean; outgoing White House press secretary Scott McClellan.
LATE EDITION (CNN) : Health and Human Services Secretary Mike Leavitt; Sen. Pat Roberts, R-Kan.; Rep. Jane Harman, D-Calif.; Iraqi national security adviser Mowaffak al-Rubaie; former CIA Deputy Director John McLaughlin.
And/or you're a CROOK.
FOX NEWS SUNDAY: Too much of a gut check to watch unless Hoekstra goes first, then change the channel.
MEET THE PRESS: I'd rather be tied down and horse whipped than watch Timmy or Pelosi.
FACE THE NATION: I'd rather be tied down, covered in honey and fire ants than watch traitor McCain.
THIS WEEK: This is clearly the main show to watch because of Tom DeLay!
LATE EDITION: Looks watchable. Still can't believe CNN is appearing to be fair & balanced.
Is Laura Ingram, on with Chris Matthews? Do I need glasses>
Thanks. I just hope it makes them start thinking for a change, instead of over reacting. If you do it, be perpared for the deer in the headlights look they get when asked something like this.
He's trying to redeem himself after months of obvious shilling for the dems.
Actually, I think he's still shilling for the dims, it's just a different bunch who want to see Nancy pushed out. She's been labeled a failure and will not be the Speaker if they take over. They don't want to change leadership now to avoid looking like they're disorganized (like the Republicans have been since DeLay got kneecapped). They'll use her as an attack dog during the election cycle then, win or lose, she's out.
ROFLLLL!!
Keep us posted!!!
LOL! I don't know....
What Channel?
Somewhere on Free Republic was a poll where 13% of FReepers wanted to see the dems win (I imagine to punish the republicans for not being conservative enough). I hope this amounts to a negligible segment of our voting base. In any case, they seem to be a pretty vocal group here.
Buchananites and Perotistas. You know, the "burn the heretics at the stake" crowd.
I am going to watch DeLay, someone will tell me if McCain screws up I am sure!
Pelosi said on MTP that while the democrats have a few individuals with ethical challenges, the Republican party is a criminal enterprise.
I know what you mean...I have experieced some of this already....
I was shocked when I discussed with them the GA "tort reform" bill they passed.
they wouldn't address anything other than the talking points...they HATED that I stuck to the Constitution and our rights...
He says ... Never Forget - Darfur
The lead article in today's NYTimes Week in Review is headed "Go Figure". It has a half page size W showing one side 31% full of blue with the caption "Percentage who approve of the way President Bush is handling the economy." The other side is 57% blue and says "Percentage of those who say the national economy is very good or fairly good." The article is on why "Mr. Bush" doesn't get credit. DUH, it's the constant drumbeat of negative news by the L/MSM with every item of good news combined with a BUT....and they know it. They are gloating now, but next November, perhaps the vast majority of Americans who pay no attention until a couple of weeks prior to an election will comprehend the truth.
Great googly moogly, did she really use the description ethical challenges?
John McCain told him. John McCain knows everything, including what parts of the constitution should be ignored.
thanks for that info.... I never used it and don't know of anyone who has...or at least they havn't told me about it....
On the other hand, another FR poster said it *did* make him feel intoxicated, which in my limited personal experience seems odd, but I suppose it's possible. People are different.
And for the really bizarre alleged side-effects of Ambien, how about this recent, pre-Patrick story in the NY Times:
Study Links Ambien Use to Unconscious Food Forays
By STEPHANIE SAUL
Published: March 14, 2006
The sleeping pill Ambien seems to unlock a primitive desire to eat in some patients, according to emerging medical case studies that describe how the drug's users sometimes sleepwalk into their kitchens, claw through their refrigerators like animals and consume calories ranging into the thousands.
The next morning, the night eaters remember nothing about their foraging. But they wake up to find telltale clues: mouthfuls of peanut butter, Tostitos in their beds, kitchen counters overflowing with flour, missing food, and even lighted ovens and stoves. Some are so embarrassed, they delay telling anyone, even as they gain weight.
He actually like Laura a LOT! (as a person)
it is weird.....I don't understand their relationship at all......
Good point. I'm not sure many understand what "tort reform" means.
One has to be careful using long words like "tort."
