What's up with WalMart?
Self | 5/6/06 | DH

Posted on 05/06/2006 7:07:04 AM PDT by DH

What's up with Walmart. I just came back from getting groceries there and when I got to up to the checkout area there was a large rack of caps on display and each one had a symbol of Mexico...flag, insignia, emblems etc... I was also entertained by a blaring PA system playing Tejano too, just like every Saturday morning that I go there to get groceries.

I guess that Walmart wanted to sell out Americans to make money on Cinco De Mayo celebrations...the one that Mexicans celebrate here in America with more gusto than the 4th of July.

I have come to the conclusion that we are way past a tipping point and that the Mexican invasion has been successful. Now all that they have to do is complete the victory by breeding themselves into absolute majority by having free babies using our tax dollars.

. . . The only folks that boycott are the loony left and tree huggers.

Is that a fact? Well, it's news to me. And here I thought it was the millions of small businesses that are put out of business by these box stores that motivated me. Or the millions of employees who make less than 15K a year full time---oh wait, Wally World keeps employees at part time so as to avoid paying benefits.

Well I guess you and your infinite wisdom have discovered my true identity. I better get over to that tree and start hugging.

"how did you know they were Mexican?"

Could it be because they were speaking Spanish?
They certainly were not from Madrid.

Speaking Spanish doesn't mean they were Mexican. They could be US Citizens. Hell, my wife speaks Portuguese to one of her friends all the time. This doesn't make her Brasilian.

DOH !!!. You don't have to celebrate anything. You also don't have a right to tell anybody they can't or WalMart they can't sell merchandise their customers want or Griff's that they can't have a big to do on St. Patrick's day.

It's appears some people just need to bitch about others to try and make their life meaningful.

Low self-esteem?

WalMart snatches people in the middle of the night and forces them to work slave labor at their stores? When they could be making SO MUCH MORE money at mom and pop stores?

How's that Kool aid?

"political differences are but one valid reason."

What is the political difference with Walmart? They are much more conservative then many other stores.
Just where do you do your shopping?

I do not buy or read the NYT, because I do not like the filth that they sell, and I do not go to Starbucks to buy overpriced coffee from leftist commies that support the Dimowits.

Actually, I call it, "The French Lose Yet Again," day. Not really a celebration to me anymore than another humorous reminder.

I dislike what is going on with the whole illegal alien thing (note I didn't say immigrant) but, to Wal-Mart's defense (at least my local one here in SC) during Christmas (notice I didn't say xmas), they had traditional Christmas music playing in the store for weeks.

:-> Hell, it kept Napoleon III from arming the Confederates, that alone makes it worth at least recognizing... (not to mention, keeping New Mexico from being called New Paris and Southwest food being full of frogs...)

Oh good grief......

Where I live the small businesses love WalMart - they get more referrals for new business from WM employees than they do from paid advertising. And WM is one of the highest paying private employers in this area.

Dude, you live in Texas. Don't expect me to belive you are surprized by that. I haven't been to Texas in years and that kind of thing was everywhere from what I remember.

If it makes you feel better, none of the Wal-Marts here do that.
