It is all rather sudden. Something must have caused it. Some speculating now that Negroponte's status as intelligence czar was the reason. I doubt it.
How do you know it is sudden? This may have been in the works for months or years and they just didn't want to tell the press and give them all that time to speculate and start crap stories.
