That's why I don't use google. If I do I end up with massive x rated e-mails. I hate it.
Strikes me as rather like suing the phone company for providing prostitutes.
That isn't even possible...unless you click on links and enter your e-mail address. You get porn e-mails when you sign up for things like Gary North newsletters and NewsMax alerts, not from Google searches.
When did you give Google your email address? Like Toback, you must not be the most computer-literate guy if simply going to a search engine website (or any other website) results in an increase in email.
Crack, anybody home today? Or are you in your posting bot mode?
There's a hypertext link indicating whether SafeSearch is on or off immediately under the search box. I will say, however, that this only appears on the results page, not the main Google page.
I have been using Google since it started. I have seen porn come up on searches, but I have NEVER seen any kiddie porn come up. Not even once.
This is a bogus claim.
"A Nassau County legislator filed a lawsuit Thursday claiming Google Inc. generates "billions of dollars from the pornography trade and illicit profiteers.""
So one should sue a Librarian because you don't like the contents of the Library or what the Authors put in the books.

Bingo! Porn e-mails come when you provide your email address to sites that sell your information. Don't sign up for crummy sites and you'll get less spam. I've never signed for NewSmax or Gary North's stuff, so I can't speak to them specifically. They may well be selling email addresses to some sites, which then sell them to others. Every time you post your email on a site, you're likely to be on new spam lists, including porn.
Silly guy - don't sue, get the Chinese to demand it.
Dittos here. I have been on the Internet since 1990, and I have never seen kiddie porn from a search engine. Not Google, not AltaVista, not Yahoo, not any of them.
I'd simply throw a BS flag on that play.
LOL, I guess we now have a Crack's ping list? Will Crack comment on his thread or threads today? Stay tuned happy readers for the exciting conclusion or continuation to today's all fresh episode on the WB.
I would not give him the satisfaction. IMHO, posting as frequently as he does but never responding is a hall mark of a disrupter at worst and a time waster and rudeness at the least.
It is possible for a website to capture your email address but you have to actually visit it in order for this to happan.
However, you'll be sorry you didn't answer those emails as you think of me making big money from my refinanced home by helping a Nigerian prince move his money to US accounts, all while sporting a bigger penis.
Wow -- it's BatJack's retarded brother.
A spam auto-bot must have guess your username. I use my gmail account as my primary email, and average about 1 spam message a week. Of course, I only give that address to people I trust and trustworthy companies with good privacy policies.
Not without your knowledge. About the only thing they could do was trigger an email form but you'd get a warning"Do you wish to submit this form" and you could spike it at that point.
You can further distance yourself from any such potential security holes by not using Internet Exploder.
