Shows our weakness in fighting the war on terror.

Yes!!! Some on this thread have liken him to Dahlmer and opine he will be killed in like manner but they forget that Dahlmer didn't have the support of 1.3 billion people in the world and most American "intellectuals" like Ward Churchill and Noam Chomsky. The group that thinks what Dahlmer did was good is incredibly small, the group supporting Islamic terror is huge and growing. Others say that we shouldn't give him what he wants -- I don't understand this at all. We are a nation of law. What the guilty wants doesn't matter. Now the law has this garbage verdict as precedent of sorts.

If we are keeping him alive in prison for 40 years because he "wants" death, then that would constitute cruel and unsual punishment to torture him with life in prison.

"We are a nation of law"

Used to be. Now we are a nation that is fed non-stop liberal propaganda from a media that thinks our laws are heartles and inhumane. It has been going on for years and this verdict is an example of how affective this propaganda has been. Just wait another 25 years.
