What didn't add up was his explanation of which planes targeted which buildings in D.C. It seems pretty clear he was also viewed as unstable by A.Q. and bumped from the mission.

My opinion is he was training for possible use on the West Coast attacks they were thinking about as part of or later as a follow up to 9-11.

He's clearly a bad guy who desperately wanted to be part of 9-11 or any other attack on us. The death penalty would have been a just verdict too, but I thought he made most of what he said at trial up to try to get the death penalty. The jury heard all the evidence, sized up all the witnesses, and found him qualified for the death penalty. The fact they didn't give it to him makes me think they saw it the same way I did - he was lying to try to get it.

I'm sure the good folks of the jury found that it was just a coincidence that three of the flights had five terrorist and one had only four. /s
