Maybe that's because you did not ask a single question in your post. Instead you accused me of wanting my beliefs alone taught in public schools: "[Y]ou want young-earth creationism taught in school because that's what you believe . . ."
That is why I replied by saying I do not think my understanding of science, objective reality, and truth merit exclusivity in the public domain. But it does merit consideration. Mark this and mark it well: I am not on board with those who would prohibit evolutionism in a public, academic, scientific context. This teaching not only makes sense to a degree, but it also should be allowed free course in the public domain.
At the same time, I do not think it is the prerogative of any government to prescribe the prohibition of teaching intelligent design in connection with organized matter that performs specific functions.
I was speaking to what you would teach your own children. I'm not talking about the various educational options: public schools, private schools, tutoring, homeschooling, unschooling, magnet schools, charter schools, vocational schools, parochial schools etc. I know that you're a young-earth creationist who rejects science that conflicts with your religious beliefs. You've said so before. Personally, I think this understanding of science has no merit whatsoever, and doesn't even belong in parochial schools. But that's just my opinion.
I didn't accuse you of anything. Frankly, I'm sick of namby pampy word games. I regret posting to you already.
