metmom, We know from scripture that God does not lie, nor is he the author of lies. His holy nature is incompatible with lying. If a Christian believes in God, he must believe in the holy, ineffable nature of God. He
must believe that Jesus is who he said he was, the son of God, God himself. If a believer denies this, he is no believer. Nor can a purported Christian deny the Word of God, anymore than he can deny Jesus, for they are one and the same.
What Jesus says in the bible is the Word of God, who does not lie. If Jesus said, He created them male and female, it is not a lie. Those who would question God's word are made manifest.
What Jesus says in the bible is the Word of God, who does not lie. But if there is no proof that Jesus said anything, then how could we have proof He have said that the Bible was the Word of God?
You can't bootstrap that way.
