Lou Dobbs Tonight: Mexican Congress Supports Insurrection in U.S.
CNN ^ | April 28, 2006 | Lou Dobbs

Posted on 04/29/2006 10:54:51 AM PDT by Icelander

                                                Lou Dobbs Tonight

DOBBS: Mexican lawmakers are on their way to Los Angeles to participate in Monday's boycott and demonstrations in support of amnesty for all illegal aliens in this country. The Mexican government lawmakers last night passed a resolution showing their overwhelming support for the demonstrations and boycott in the United States. All political parties in the lower house of the Mexican Congress approved the resolution. This is just the latest example of Mexican politics trying to influence U.S. policy and U.S. public opinion in the illegal alien amnesty debate.

Illegal aliens in this country and their supporters intend to severely disrupt the nation's economy and our schools with their boycott and demonstrations Monday. The groups will not consider their boycott a success unless they succeed in basically shutting down our cities and pressuring Congress to pass amnesty for all illegal aliens.

If Lou wanted to solve this issue, he'd call the democrats out. Over and over and over again.

Earth to Explorer4: It's not Lou's job to SOLVE this issue. That would be the job of our President and Congress, who have abdicated their responsibility and constitutional duties.

But FYI, Lou has called everyone responsible "out" already... many times.

"States: Baja, USA / Old Mexico No., USA / Old Mexico So., USA"

No way, apparently you haven't spent enough time in that 3rd world communist hell hole.

It is an enemy already, and our President is welcoming them in. Too bad the Panama Canal was already given away, I'm sure he'd like to have been the one to get rid of it.

Poor wording on my part. "If he really wanted to enlighten viewers...."

Did he mention

1. Who's organizing these protests, what they really want and stand for.
2. Which party favors that which most Americans oppose (this issue alone, like gay marriage, could win the elections for the GOP, if they don't follow the Amnesty crowd).
3. What other "benefits" these people contribute.
4. Compare them to the people dying to get in, legally.

If he did, I stand corrected and profess my ignorance since I don't really watch his show anymore (not since his hypocritcal economic reporting and investment newsletter).

Screw it. Let's just take over Mexico and make it a U.S. territory. Might as well. Maybe someday we can carve a few states out of it and bring them into the union. That will give them something to protest about. And we could use the natural resources down there as well that the Mexicans are too corrupt and lazy to exploit.

Do you remember who Lou Dobbs was before he found this particular audience?

Lou has been on CNN from its start. He had a falling out with the leftist Rick Kaplan and Lou was off CNN for a year or so. Business and Finances are what he mostly talks about. - Tom

Mexican Congress Supports Insurrection in U.S. ... and has since 1848.

Will Presidente Arbusto be there to welcome them?

Like Michael Savage, I think he's finally found a venue where he can sell himself. He's suddenly become well known.

I think playing the populist side of this issue, not the reality based side such as you were referring to with action directed towards Congress, is just a ploy to gain him recognition and ratings.

Can you enlighten me a bit? Which is it: Are you differing with what Lou Dobbs is advocating, which is securing our borders, or are you just accusing him of pretending to be upset that politicians won't do their constitutional duty and secure our borders? And if it's the latter, what proof do you have that Lou's stance is a ploy to get him recognition and ratings? I would really like to know.

Who controls the Legislative and Executive branches of our government? This can't be laid off on the Democrats.

It's not Lou's job to SOLVE this issue.

LOL!! Of course not. Carping, bitching and bellyaching sells well to other carpers, bitchers, and bellyachers.

For about 25 years he has been a boring business talking head who looks like he takes an OD of prednisone or who loves really cheap beer.

Until Dobbs took up this issue hardly anyone knew who he was. Once he took up this issue, particularly the more inflammatory side of it, he became known.

That is nothing new. Until Michael Weiner stopped selling herbal supplements, changed his name to Savage and took on an inflammatory persona on the radio few people had heard of him before.

It's marketing an audience. First and foremost, people like Dobbs are selling a product...themself.

True, the GOP is guilty of failure to act before this year, but when they've tried to, who's stood in the way? On this issue, the GOP is bad, fine, but the Dems are worse. Frankly, that sums up American politics from my POV for the last 3 yrs.; however, the public does not realize this b/c the MSM focuses only on the sins of one party, "conviently."

You're right, as long as the business and finances concern illegal immigration or EEEVIL outsourcing.

He's a two-note Charlie, but he knows both of those issues are red meat.

EXACTLY!!!!

Dobbs loves to criticize this administration on every single issue. Not one has been supportive of. I'd like to see him call out the Dems, which he never does.
