I love how liberals always try to rewrite history. Apparently even on Free Republic.
I hereby call you a liar. Report me.
I, for one, will not let you get away with playing the race card against the only major legislator who understands this fight.
Uh it wasn't I who wanted a validictorian deported because of a surname, it was tom tancredo.
Oh BTW, that student was from a public school, IIRC, how come he only focused on that students surname, instead of the public school.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I guess that it would be just beyond your bent towards clear communications to provide a link to an event you describe. And none of us are to suppose that in some way the validictorian was related to ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION. A congressman just got a wild hair because of a surname. Sure.
You are really fixated on surnames and schools. My congressman made the point that 1/3 of inmates of Los Angeles county jails are illegal immigrants. Does it matter that people who break the border law go on to break other laws, or does the fact that they have surnames mean they really aren't criminals?
"I think it's far worse when a citizen of this nation deliberately butchers our Anthem...and when their fellow citizens say nothing about it."
I can think of many instances of outrage over mistreatment of the National Anthem over the years. Roseanne Barr (shudder) springs not-so-lightly to mind.
This is OKLAHOMA - you remember TIM McVEIGH? I believe it is much more likely that a LEGAL CITIZEN (maybe even former U.S. military again) defaced the statue in the hopes of whipping up the hysteria reflected in half the posts above than Bush planting the demolition charges in the twin towers - I also know that Jews died in the WTC - so I am not some tin foil conspiracy nut. There is a reason the "Burning of the Reichstag" worked though.
As long as you leave the other 2/3 out of your generalization.
Yes you are. You just selective choose your conspiracy fantasies. Just like the rest of you DUmmies.
LOL - you think the President planting demolitions on 9/11 is as likely a legal citizen defacing this statue???
A assume you are asking about the LEVEL of conspiracy? You tin foil hat types pick and choose -- magnitude doesn't really seem to play.
As long as you leave the other 2/3 out of your generalization...
Another poor communicator! What's the matter are the lefty sites down today?
Well, I agree with you there. And you're right, many of the teachers probably secretly (or openly) invite the incursion and insurrection and the returning of the land that we paid $20M to Mexico for (after winning it in war).
Let's put it this way. If our grandnieces and nephews come to the house and throw up on the sofa, we clean it up and have a good laugh about it. If, on the other hand, a complete stranger who speaks not a word of English comes into our house uninvited and proceeds to puke on the furniture and refuse to leave, then I think it's time to bring out the shotgun and make them leave.
That's what we now have in our country: uninvited "guests" who refuse to follow the rules, and who think they have the right to stay.
Think about the last Super Bowl...when our National Anthem became a Gospel song.
LOL - considering I started posting here ONE YEAR before you did, perhaps you should reconsider your insinuations as to which side's websites I hang out at ; )
May 1st is Mexican LABOR DAY - would you be happier if this protest was on U.S. Labor Day?
I was actually asking about LIKELIHOOD, not "level" - take a class in statistics and probabilities if you don't know what I'm talking about.
Juan Jose Gutierrez, said himself this morning on CSpan. This is civil war. They declared it!!
Who is Gutierrez?
Director, Latino Movement USA, Gutierrez was an invited guest at the inauguration of new Bolivian president Evo Morales. He discusses the huge changes happening now in Bolivia with this inauguration the first indigenous President in Latin Ameria. In a special pre-inaugural ceremony held in a sacred area, Morales wore native garb and declared the colonial period was over as millions watched live on television. Later, he said capitalism was the problem.
