No, dimbulb; he's somebody who is a troll new to FR, who assume I don't like Rush because I am TALKING about the PLEA he made today.
You can be sure that the prosecutor had nothing.
Sure; that's why Rush plead out.
He plead not guilty. It is up to the Prosecutor to prove otherwise. He ain't doing it.
There are lots of reasons to cop a plea. Especially if the charges will be dropped in 18 months.
The reason that comes to mind for me is: get it over. And, I think both sides wanted to.
No NEW troll would know you're a woman.
This is a retread.
Howlin, I don't know if I would consider this a plea. A plea usually involves a lesser charge, not charges being totally dropped. Rush still maintains innocence of all charges.
I don't think it is money- he's got plenty. I think that he knows if he doesn't get this from hanging over his head, he will be hamstrung this election, the 06 one. I have no doubt the DA would disrupt his show every chance he could as the election comes up.
Someone on this thread intimated this was Rush's offer, not the DAs.
Rush could fight all the way through - I know many would. But he ends up after 18 months with a clean record and never admitting guilt. Who needs your medical stuff dragged through a jury trial. The DA would attack him, with all the hate a Palm Beach lib attorney could muster.
I think he did ok.
