I used to think I'd have no problem voting for a devout Mormon. Then I talked to my Pastor who was raised in the Mormon church. I just asked him why is he not a Mormon anymore. 4 hours later when he was done telling me all he went through as a Mormon....I'd have a hard time voting for Romney.

Gee, that makes sense. Why not ask a disgruntled priest to tell you all about Catholicism?

I see your point...
but then, there are radical
Christians who would continue
to turn the cheek towards those
who revile and persecute them;
there are "soft spoken" Christians
who do NOT love their enemies; and
there are those Christians who
proclaim, "If you tolerate another
religion, you are negligent of your own!"

All that said, re Mr. Romney...most
people A Born-Again Christian, Pres. Bush sees
good in any religion that points the way
toward the One God. Not all Muslims
follow the nth word of the Qu'ran;
neither do all Christians follow Bible
teachings, nor all Jews follow the letter
of the Torah.

Admittedly, most Born-Again Christians tend
to be a bit boisterous in their "new clothes."
And those of us who hear them proclaim, "I've
found Jesus!" mumble under our breath at the
proclamation...since WE NEVER LOST HIM. NTL,
we can all be assured the Heavens rejoice as
the lost sheep and Prodigals are brought back
into the fold. <>g<>

Yup. If only I could tell the things I've gone through with Mormons here in Vegas. Except I'd get banned.

You need to ask yourself whether you'd rather have yourself characterized by your enemy or your friend. You pastor is quite likely an ambitious, disgruntled malcontent who couldn't "cut it" in the Mormon hierarchy and decided to go on to where he could be the Big Kahuna on his own terms...
