Exactly my thought when I read this.

What, exactly, DOES the U.N do besides attack America and its interests, and rape and pillage? And cost U.S. taxpayers tons of money?

I did see an interesting documentary the other night on the documentary channel (I live out in the sticks, where there is no cable, so I'm on satellite (sp).

It had a Canadian FORMER general for the U.N. go back to Rawanda, where a genocide occurred during the Clinton years, and he basically showed/told/illustrated how useless the U.N. is.

Watch the movie, or read the book, "Shake Hands With the Devil" by Romeo Dallaire. He was the UN weasel in charge of witnessing the genocide in Rawanda.

It was horrible to watch, but it really puts into perspective just how useless the UN truly is, and the guy is kind of a whiner too. There is a good shot of the French and Belgians fleeing on a C130 as things start getting hot.
