Geez! Can this reporter not think on his/her own? Of course, they must minimize this as much as possible.

Anyone in the CIA with any connection to Sandy Burglar should be carefully scrutinized.

What a great find, thanks! We may never know if the entire story about detention centers turned out to be a smoke screen intended to reveal a leak. We certainly have no evidence beyond the McCarthy leak and Priest's story. If it does turn out to be nothing more than misinformation for a leak probe, the Washington Post and the Pulitzer Committee will look very foolish indeed.
I think most reasonable people can conclude this story was a plant and no secret prisons ever existed. Traces of the left's saliva in every corner of this earth trying to find those prisons has been futile.
It's deliciously humiliating that in their zeal to bring down the Bush administration, the infamous Washington Post printed a story that may have had horrible national security ramifications when it hasn't even been proven factual. And it is pathetic that the Pulitzer committee thought such a story was worthy of their once respected prize. What an expos'e on their agenda!

You won't find this being examined, dissected and deliberated by the MSM. This will get a onetime showing... then jettisoned into oblivion.

And the GOP, inexperienced as they are at the art of crotch fighting, will just shrug shoulders and walk away.

If it is the same person, then he would be making quite a bit of money.
We know money isn't why Mary leaked. Bringing down W is the reason.

The CIA fired a long-serving intelligence officer for sharing classified information...Sharing? I guess when a DemocRat does it, it's "sharing". When a Republican does it, it's "leaking".

I don't think this is her husband.
HERE is the Bell Nursery web site. Mike McCarthy appears to be a fairly young man (see magazine photo reproduced on the site). Now he could be Mary McCarthy's SON, in which case one would wonder how he got the money to go into business. On the other hand, this is a rairly common name, as I saw from my search.
Now I am going out to MY garden for a while. I will check in later this afternoon.

Thank you both for your posts, very interesting and informative. Sounds like she could just be a part of the leaks given the timespan of Clinton's terms and the people he had working for him. I believe more people like her are going to be discovered soon.

Say maybe about the time that itch Clinton stepped on the Senate floor with that NYPost front page "Bush knew", like a mooolah's call to arms, heard around the world, I think that was October 2001? Probably was about the time Rockefeller's road map memo got started in Hillry's war room. Of course just a guess considering what we do know about these liberals jihad against President Bush.

I still regard Armitage as the best suspect for Novak's source based on the information available so far, but I'd agree that McCarthy may well have been one of Wilson's sources with access to information from Rice's files, along with Rand Beers. I'd be curious about McCarthy's relationship to Beers.
