$5000.00 is a TON of money for someone who's been a Servant of the People (sarcasm) but I wondered also if someone GAVE her the money to donate to Ohio Dem Party!!

"Gave" is a pretty flexible term. Would putting the consulting firm of a donor's husband on retainer (or paying for ambiguously-defined "consulting services), with the fee(s) then being channeled into a campaign organization qualify as such?

All speculation, of course ... unless the client list/financials of her husband's company come to light.

Suzy - you spoke what went through my mind indeed. Did the fund group "Hillpac" also jump out at you as it raced across my mind?

Which leads me to wonder... How does one get a list of all large donations to the Ohio Dems around that October 2004 timeframe? What other interesting names might pop up?
