Just breaking on Fox...

No details, but the agent was caught dead to rights leaking....

Update: CIA Officer Fired for Leaking Classified Info to Media

WASHINGTON — A CIA officer has been relieved of his duty after being caught leaking classified information to the media.

CIA officials will not reveal the officer's name, assignment, or the information that was leaked. The firing is a highly unusual move, although there has been an ongoing investigation into leaks in the CIA.

One official called this a "damaging leak" that deals with operational information and said the fired officer "knowingly and willfully" leaked the information to the media and "was caught."

I would not get too excited. The bloodletting will happen on both sides. This is like chess. Pubbies that have any, shall we say indiscretions, will be trotted out. And there are many. That is the reason that this was put out on a Friday. One must be extremely careful about hurling stones inside the glass house. Else the illusion of reflection becomes refraction off of the shards that will remain.

McCarthy has a B.A. and M.A. in history from Michigan State University
and an M.A and Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota.

It wasn't 'put out' on Friday.
Porter Goss spoke yesterday.
This woman has admitted guilt and the DOJ has the case.

Being Bush loyalists is not as important as them not being DNC hacks

Over the short term -- yes; over the long term -- No. Not after today. Things can change.

I thought Krauthammer was exaggerating in his column The Generals' Dangerous Whispers (warning-link to compost). when he wrote "We've always had discontented officers in every war and in every period of our history. But they rarely coalesce into factions. That happens in places such as Hussein's Iraq, Pinochet's Chile or your run-of-the-mill banana republic. And when it does, outsiders (including the United States) do their best to exploit it, seeking out the dissident factions to either stage a coup or force the government to change policy."

Maybe not. This is all about faction.

I haven't caught up yet, so this may have already been posted. "LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT" rang a bell with me, too. Here it is:
1992: Stephens Inc. employees give Clinton more than $100,000 for his presidential campiagn. The Worthen Bank gives him a $3.5 million line of credit allowing the cash-strapped candidate to finish the primaries.

Soraya and Arief Wiriadinata, the daughter and son-in-law of Lippo's co-founder, donate $450,000 to the DNC. Arief Wiriadinata came to the US from Indonesia allegedly to study landscape architecture -- although some accounts describe him simply as a gardener. At last reports Wiriadinata is now back home, working for Sea World Indonesia.

Of course! The "gardener" who donated 450 Bigs! My, how many other Clinton scandals have I forgotten?!
