Please pray for my Godson, who is going to Iraq
4/20/06 | Me

Posted on 04/20/2006 8:34:22 AM PDT by alnick

My best friend called this morning, in a panic, because her baby, Tracey, will be deployed to Iraq in a few months. Turns out he finagled a transfer because he wants to go. She's proud of him, but also very frightened.

So please pray for not only Tracey, but Nora as well. Mainly pray for Tracey's safety and his mom's peace of mind, but also for their general well being.

Thanks. I'm proud of my Godson. :-)

IRAQ?? EGADS!!

Tracey and family will be in my prayers.

Tell Nora that the vast majority of Americans who go to Iraq come back just fine. ;-)

I'm proud of your Godson, too. I will gladly keep his family in my prayers, and please express my family's sincere gratitude for his defense of our freedom.

Prayers going out. My daughter came back in February after a year. Start reading the real news stories, and send them to your friend.

Oh man. I hope I didn't triple or quadruple post this, or worse. First I had something else I wanted to add, which I'll follow up with after I post this, and I stopped it and added my extra thoughts, and then kept getting a message, "temporarily unavailable."

One more thing: I plan to print out this thread and mail it to Nora and Tracey, so if you want to share words of encouragement with them, please feel free to do so.

Thanks again.

I'll say a prayer for his safety. I'll also say one to thank God for giving us young men like Tracey who are willing to risk their lives to protect our freedom.

I will pray for the young man. GREAT news.. My nephew just came back from Iraq this week. We are all so happy. He just married 6 weeks before he was deployed. They are so happy to be back in one another's arms.

We prayed for him the whole time he was over there and we always pray for all of our military. They are our brave heroes....

I have a friend that rode with my motorcycle group just come back from Iraq. He was the youngest member of our group. Just a kid really, that we all rode unmericfully and played plenty of pranks on. We were worried sick about him the whole tour because he was one of these people that are cursed with a lifelong streak of horrible luck.

Well, through the power of prayer, his good luck held out for once, and though he was in the thick of the fighting his whole tour, he made it through safely. I'll pray for this youngster, also.

I will keep him in my prayers. He is doing the right thing and is doing it for all of us.

My son is over there now.

They, as well as the contractors, are indeed part of the greatest generation!

The chances of dying in Iraq are 0.0002%

The odds of dying in the streets of Chicago on a Friday after midnight are much higher.

A. He's not a baby. Sounds like man to me.

B. Probably the terrorist that need to be worried, not you and your friend.

C. I pray that he serves with courage and honor.
