Her name is Crystal Magnum.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/1610733/posts

The alleged Victim in the Duke Lacrosse Gang Rape has a substance abuse problem, here license has been suspended 3 times, she has an eluding police conviction, a larceny conviction, she has spent time in jail. And there are so many inconsistencies in her story, the timeline, and the 911 calls it's absurd.

None of this has been reported, mind you.

Okay, her record has been reported on a small, local station and they did not broadcast this report. Web-site only. The woman told the News and Observer and the National Media that she was nervous and new to stripping. Rita Cosby and Dan Abrams had guests saying that this was her SECOND time stripping. Turn out she's been dancing at clubs and at private parties for at least 5 years as Crystal Magnum. The other dancer also has a criminal record.

Here's the URL for the latest article (notice how they downplay her "brush with the law":

http://www.wral.com/news/8513890/detail.html?rss=ral&psp=news

Here's another with the 3 license suspensions .. The team players have said she arrived at the party drunk or high and the second 911 call reports her as intoxicated.

An attorney for the players hinted yesterday there is much more to come:

CHESHIRE: Paula, well, first of all, let me say this for a living -- let me say this about what this woman does for a living.

Anybody that knows what she does for a living and the reality of what she does for a living knows that she could have received those injuries any time before 12:00 that evening. Now, as -- as this trial goes on, we will be able to discover exactly where she is. But the fact that she may have had sex with somebody after 6:00 or before 6:00 would mean, if she went to the hospital, they would show that she had -- quote -- "injuries," which is a word I don't like, but a medical condition, or things in her body, consistent with the fact that she may have had sex with somebody.

That does not prove that she...

Better yet, bring some procupine quills.

I think the ho's making it up, but this doesn't add up for me.

Why would he go to a bank machine in the early morning hours if he was just going back to his dorm? I suppose it's possible that he needed cash for the cabbie to take him back to his dorm, but it says that he walked back to his dorm. Where did the cabbie take him after the bank machine? Isn't it more likely that he needed cash for the ho? I don't think this timeline is exculpatory until we know where the cabbie dropped him off and how far the dorm is from the house.

In the timeline on Drudge, the first description of the pictures says that there are at least 10 players sitting around, a fraction of the team. Yet this idiot is casting suspicion on 46 out of 47. He's playing with fire and he's fixin to go up in flames.

Let's see here. Guy sees skanky stripper arrive at party and decides its not worth his time. He calls a cab but doesn't have enough cash in his wallet to pay driver. He has driver take him to ATM near campus, pays driver, and walks back to his dorm.

(As long as we're cooking up scenarios.)

Maybe his dorm is very close to the ATM.

Not in Durham.

As soon as the defense team goes after the "Victim" the jury will see "big whitey" picking on a sista'. Jury selection is going to be a hoot, also the defense trying to get a change of location for the trial.

Game over. She be black and one of us, they be guilty.

Its a shame really because all around this state blacks will convict blacks but throw in the emotions of this case and its a new game.

By the way. Take a pair of your best fitting leather gloves, soak them in water, let them dry for a few months, put on some surgical gloves and then try and slip your hands into your old gloves. "If they don't fit you must acquit".

Hey, don't forget the fact the victim is a "full time" college student who got an "A" in a difficult class. Remember, the victim in Bonfire was an "honor" student.

From WRAL:

New information about the victim has been divulged, concerning charges arising from an incident that occurred several years ago. According to a 2002 police report, the woman, currently a 27-year-old student at North Carolina Central University, gave a taxi driver a lap dance at a Durham strip club. Subsequently, according to the report, she stole the man's car and led deputies on a high-speed chase that ended in Wake County.

Apparently, the deputy thought the chase was over when the woman turned down a dead-end road near Brier Creek, but instead she tried to run over him, according to the police report.

Additional information notes that her blood-alcohol level registered at more than twice the legal limit.

In spite of that incident, her attorney at the time, Woody Vann, asserts that what happened then should not cause people to question her character now. He said she is a decent and credible human being.

"She took the car in what we've categorized in the past as a joyride," Vann said.

Vann also said that the allegations that that his former client was trying to hit the sheriff's deputy were in error, and that she was merely trying to turn around. The case was resolved when she admitted she made a mistake, paid restitution and served probation and some jail time.

"I would be glad to go to bat for her," Vann said. "She was a very credible, believable person and deserves that sort of respect in this situation now."

She is also unmarried with 2 kids.

(A model upstanding citizen.)
