The modern Left substitutes rage in place of positive policy ideas...because they have no positive ideas for the U.S.

They want the nuclear family destroyed; gay parents, gay children, aborted children, children out of wedlock, children from multiple fathers, children with multiple mothers, children with different last names than their parents, government raising children without parents via welfare and rules and programs, etc.

They want higher taxes. They want France to determine our foreign policy. They want to surrender to radical Islamics who would put them in burkhas.

They'd gladly fight a Republican, but they'd never fight a terrorist.

They want to put as many obstacles as possible in the way of our economy such as banning nuclear power, mandating various ever-changing blends of fuel, banning drilling for new fuel, banning refining new fuel, banning new home construction (e.g. "urban sprawl"), banning smoking in restaurants, etc.

If it damages our society (e.g. recreational drugs) then they are for it; if it benefits our society (e.g. border control) then they are against it.

Pause

But they can't very well run on a political platform of the above.

They can't win the Heartland by banning guns and holding "have an abortion at my house" slumber parties for their teenagers.

And they aren't going to change.

So this leaves them without any expressed, admitted, public policy ideas.

In other words, it leaves them with rage. President Bush is bad if he jails Saddam Hussein and he's bad if he ignores North Korea. If Bush cures cancer they'll b!tch that he didn't cure AIDs.

Pick *any* daily news headline and the modern Left will spin it such that it's Bush's fault.

It's all that they've got.

Pick *any* daily news headline and the modern Left will spin it such that it's Bush's fault.

The other day at my office meeting, my broker was reading an article to us about the real estate market, mainly how about 30% of real estate sold today is for 2nd homes. It went on to say that in 1997 the law changed to allow coouples to keep tax free up to $500,000 capital gains from the sale of their primary residence. I made a comment before I asked a question, a comment I make to all of my clients when discussing this capital gains law change, this happened as a result of the republican control of congress.

Within a minute some lib, and we are mostly conservatives says, yeah but Scooter Libby lied to the grand jury or was it Bush lying. Unbelievable, trying to point out a positve event for all Americans concerning the American dream and they immediately serve left and say, "Yeah but,We hate Bush!"

Is there any doubt at all that if people like this woman were to somehow seize power, one of the first things they would do is round up every person in this country who ever voted for a Republican at any point in their life and line them up in front of a ditch on some cold, gray morning?

And of course, the media just loves these perpetually enraged leftists. These people are their core audience, the ones who buy, and will continue to buy, their newspapers and magazines, and watch their "news" programs, no matter how openly slanted and hateful toward consevatives, and eventually anyone to the right of Hugo Chavez, they get. These people are the reason why the media will never change, even as they go bankrupt.

LOL!

I just finished reading the article's 6 pages.

I love your comments and I think this modern Left, looks an awful lot like ole Saul Alinsky's, with his disciple Hillary at the helm.

...children out of wedlock, children from multiple fathers, children with multiple mothers, children with different last names than their parents...

My observation is that the more hidious the crime and if it's a "family" dispute, with mom, dad, son, daughter involved, none of them will have the same last name.

I can't quite figure out how you do that, but next horid story involving "family", see if that's the case too. I'll bet it is.

They'd gladly fight a Republican, but they'd never fight a terrorist.

Every single Democrat stump speech features the focus group-tested word "fight," as in "I'll fight for your right to X" or "I've been a fighter in the Senate for X." The thing is, the word is always used in reference to fighting other Americans. When it comes to actual foreign enemies...no, no fighting.
