let me say you have my respect ..a common sense life lived without fear..too many varmints out there two legged and otherwise.
The place where I work doesn't allow a permit holder to lock a gun up in their truck while on company property so I keep my knife in there instead. They don't like knives over 4" but I figure that they wouldn't say as much if I lock up the knife as they would the gun if they found it. It's 10" overall with a 5" blade. Since I often go in to work at 3:00 in the morning and have to drive I-75 for several miles, I refuse to go unarmed, policy or no policy. Here is my knife:
I asked my husband to sharpen it this morning and after shaving his arm, he said "I think it's sharp enough." LOL My carry gun is a snub nose Taurus .357 Magnum. While I would much rather carry a handgun than a knife, I figure it's better than nothing and I don't want to lose a good job with over 30 years seniority. We shouldn't have to make a choice between our life and our job. :-( Anytime I'm alone in the mountains, I carry both.
