FOX News Alert: U.S. Marines in Afghanistan Open Operation Mountain Lion

The U.S. military has announced that the largest air assualt in 4 years in Afghanistan is underway in Kunar province. It was kicked off 15 hours ago, but a news embargo was imposed. An attempt has been made to keep the Al Queda and Taliban opposition contained so that they will not escape.

Several thousand coalition soldiers are involved. The exit passes are being held since it was believed that too many opposition forces escaped during the previous Operation Anaconda.

A very good point. Any attacks of significance just give GWB more credibility to those still with heads in the sand why we must forge ahead and attempt to kill them all off.
As for your suggestes of bribing in essence some of these people, that is fine, if you cn find them. We have to remember many of the ring leaders are embedded in tribal areas that maintain loyalties. Many of them may simply not desire riches and material goods. If they where to have appeared to take a bribe, off with their heads.

Yeah, it can be proven that he's still alive. But that information isn't for open sources. However, since everyone throughout the intel world feels he's alive, I'm quite certain he's still alive.

Kunar province is right on the border to Pakistan. It is a good escape route. Pakistan may prove to be an unreliable ally in the war on terror.

I believe the US and Pakistan now have a secret agreement where US troops are routinely operating within Pakistani territory. It isn't something the State Department or Pakistan can reveal publicly, but I think this is probably going down right now.

Bush's polls may be due to massive sampling error where the respondents are being polled from DemonRAT populations. It may be also be a result of who is home or willing to answer the telephone. Republicans may not be as willing to answer the phone because they are busy doing other things.

I hope Pakistan comes through. It seems as if they have been tipping off Bin Laudin on our next move.

So many have and still serve with honor, committment. Not to destroy or deliberatly harm, but to bring down those evil forces of this world that make the lives of so many miserable. May the good Lord as these brave men go into harms way in Iraq, Afghanistan, and other points on the globe keep HIS almighty hand over them, as a mother hen shields her chicks from harmsway.
