The DA said there was evidence of sex during the exam. The thing is, this woman was a stripper hired through an escort service. I'd like to see the escort service records. Maybe the job she just came from involved special attention and big tips as well as her base stripping fee. In fact, I did a little looking around online and came up with these ladies:

The attorney threw the gauntlet down as far as the DA goes. If it is as presented (and no attorney would lie about such a document) I would be hard pressed to file charges...(not a lawyer & did not sleep in a Holiday Inn). She was specific in saying she clawed at them and lost an artifical nail or two. And yet no DNA?

Further, if the DA presses onward without anything else he will finacially drain the families of all involved.

If he presses forward he is a fool.

The woman said the assault took place in the early hours of March 14 near Duke's East Campus. She had worked for an escort service to help support her two children and pay for classes at N.C. Central University and the night she was attacked was the first time she had been hired to dance for a group.

According to a 2002 police report, the woman, currently a 27-year-old student at North Carolina Central University, gave a taxi driver a lap dance at a Durham strip club. Subsequently, according to the report, she stole the man's car and led deputies on a high-speed chase that ended in Wake County.

Apparently, the deputy thought the chase was over when the woman turned down a dead-end road near Brier Creek, but instead she tried to run over him, according to the police report.

Additional information notes that her blood-alcohol level registered at more than twice the legal limit.

The accuser had worked for an escort company for two months, doing one-on-one dates about three times a week.

Based on what I've seen on other threads, attorneys for some of the players are now saying that there was no matching DNA. So now the prosecutor is still going forward with his smear campaign.

It is entirely possible that this woman had a bad experience at the house. I knew a lot of lacrosse players in high school and college, they are generally cocky, affluent white kids. I have no doubt that they used racial slurs and were rude to her -- there is no excuse for this, but it's not rape, and at the risk of sounding callous, this is something a stripper should learn to expect.
