DALLAS, TEXAS At 12:52 p.m., thousands wearing white began the march early from the Cathedral Shrine of the Virgin of Guadalupe to Dallas City Hall chanting and waving American flags. George P. Bush, the nephew of President George W. Bush, was among several scheduled to speak at the rally. Earlier participants started the day at the Cathedral Santuario de Guadalupe for the traditional Palm Sunday mass.

Where's the money to come from?
Thought you were like hilary! You proved it.
My formerly Catholic, legal-Irish-immigrant husband says that's true. But we Baptists are still downtown and we're growing.

Lighten up, Buttercup.
To the contrary, it would be a major benefit to the economy as real Americans would get higher wages that would stay in America. This would translate into more economic growth for America. We would increase those in middle class. And, we would end the waiting line of American citizens at emergeny rooms in hospitals while illegal aliens get free medical care at taxpayer expense.
The only real loser would be those business that benefit from cheap illegal labor. Deportation of 12 million illegals would be difficult but far from impossible. And, if we only get half of them out of the country it would be a wonderful achhievment.
Just saw something on Fox with video. The talking head made the comment that there were American flags flying at the rally rather than the Mexican flags we saw before. And the first video they showed did snow American flags. however, as they continued to pan and show video, guess what? Mexican flags again. Interestingly the Fox newsgirl said nothing about those.

Just as in the War on Drugs, local police confiscate assets (vehicles, property, cash) of drug dealers, why couldn't local law enforcement confiscate assets of illegals? Surely very shortly, we wouldn't have to deport them, they would leave to avoid having their assets taken.
I'm cure there must be a hundred reasons why this wouldn't work but I can't think of one.
It seems to stand for P as in Poltroon.
You're either being sarcastic or smoking a banned substance.
I wonder if First Baptist, with its large congregation, had problems with the crowd...
Oh sure they have rights. I just heard the pretty-head teleprompter reader on Fox News tell me that this was the largest "civil rights" protest ever. So now I guess demanding to be able to break the law in a foreign country is a civil right.

MEXICO CITY - President Bush's nephew, campaigning for overseas votes in Mexico on Saturday, called the federal policy of arming U.S. Border Patrol agents with plastic pellet guns "reprehensible."
Speaking in a mix of English and sometimes-halting Spanish, George P. Bush said his uncle was not to blame for the gun policy, which has angered Mexicans. He instead blamed it on "some local INS (Immigration and Naturalization Service) guy who's trying to be tough, act macho."
"If there has been American approval for this policy, that is reprehensible," Bush said of the guns, essentially paintball projectiles filled with chile powder. "It's kind of barbarous."
Beats lead.
What do you mean, to annex it? Don`t know, I have no idea about how that works financially. Hey, I just drive a taxi lol! It seems to me though we have no choice, I let`s look at this seriously, are we going to expel 12 million people? I can`t see how that can be done. The democrats would have a field day comparing Bush to Hitler expelling the Jews.
I got no problem at all with Mexicans, I`ve worked with them and you won`t find better people, but it seems this illegal problem has been allowed to happen for too long, it is too late.
The only reason they seem to go the illegal route is because they can`t afford the money it takes to go legal, I really don`t think it is the learning the English part that prevents them. Most Mexicans I meet can speak English, it is the $1000 required to go legal that makes them go illegal. I just think an annex of Mexico is the best route, expanding US territory/interests hasn`t hurt in the past, but like I said I have no idea how that works. Look at Alaska, what the hell are we doing with that? Yes OK, to protect against Russians and we get oil, but right now that`s about as far away from mainland US as you can get, Mexico is right next to us plus we get all that Gulf of Mexico oil.
