Ironic you would compare this bill to that one.

Dane, is that your lead off copy and paste to every thread that remotely resembles anything close to Immigration?

Here is a thought Dane, try being FOR something instead of constantly being AGAINST something.

36-62 is not good on this bill. That means that the Senate is not willing to consider a limited measure that improves border security.

Senate now debating a DoD nominee.

==

Apparently, all 3 versions of the immigration bills are in suspense now -- until after the Spring Recess.

Exactly.

You cannot disregard border security blatantly for decades, and then expect the American people to grant trust this time will be different. This isn't 1986, we went down that road one too many times.

Further compounding the error they attempt to ram this down our throats at midnight without allowing the American people to react. They lie about what it grants. They won't even be honest and call it amnesty. Why would we trust them? Their behavior suggests we should do anything but.

Chuck K. has a column out that suggests basically what the rest of us have said.

Borders first. Prove yourselves. THEN we'll address those still here, or altering our immigration system.

I believe the entire PURPOSE of the Senate is for cooler minds than the People's House to prevail

No you don't mean "cooler minds" but capitulating ones. Unfortunately for you and your illegal alien friends this time the sellout was even too much for a substantial number of them to swallow.

No bill is worse than a disasterous bill, as dire as the current status is. NO Amnesty - NO TALK of Amnesty - until our BORDERS ARE SECURE!

What we need to do is get a list put together of every RHINO and target them for defeat, and start a ping list.
If its done right, maybe Jim will make it a sticky.

This would leave us the real conservatives, maybe 41, with full backing for re election, and perhaps toss out a few that we don't care about having the R after their name.

I would support ousting even out of state RHINOs with money.

That or they are scared of going on record with a vote either way before November

Both keep the other in check - I will get you the "cooler minds" quote from the Federalist Papers.

LMAO! You sing the same verse of the same song, and prolly monotone, since you don't appear to like changes. When are you ever gonna get off the chorus line?

I would be fine with a stalemate between the Senate and House, and therefore keeping the status quo : )

My thoughts exactly. The majority of these clowns have shown very clearly that they have NO INTEREST WHATSOEVER in doing the will of the majority of the citizens of America. If someone came from outer space, they'd think for sure this Senate and Administration are working for and representing the illegals who've invaded, and continue to invade our land.

I only pray there will be intelligent, honest people who get voted in and we can get rid of the wishy washy jerks that have failed us.

That being said, we don't want to throw the baby out with the bath water. There are a handful of real hero's, holding the line, responding to the majority out here who are having to cope with the very real results of the do nothing Congresses and Administrations of the past 25,30 years. We need to do our home work when election time comes around and hope there's actually someone who will run against those with the tin ears and mush between the ears who are supposed to be doing "the will of the people".

Well at least you are honest. You are for keeping the status quo of border anarchy and total disregard for the rule of law.

Amazing.

"I would offer that it is time they stay at work until they do complete their job....you know...like regular folks have to do. Unless of course they will forgo any pay until such time they do actually accomplish something."

No, no, no ... it would be better if they all went on "Spring Break" ... and never come back.

Remember "no man's freedom is safe when Congress is in session".
