Welcome to the room Sissy.

Where does it say that I may not address you if your in this chat room?

Where does it say that a subject like abortion is somehow off limits to certain people present and not others? Huh?

It appears that you and someone named Reddy have suddenly appeared and are posing as "thought referees".

Seems like the adults here are capable of getting along fine with out "thought police".

But don't let me put words in your mouth.

The defence is expected to argue that Moussaoui suffers from mental illness and had a difficult childhood.

The poor young man.

Fry him.

Neither are appropriate. This is a thread about testimony regarding one of the most traumatic events in our history - by the then Mayor of the city that was central to the event. It is not a referendum on that mayor.

The 37-year-old French citizen has pleaded guilty to six counts of conspiracy to attack the US.

Just out of curriosity, what sort of information was found on his computer, once they decided it would be OK to look at it.. (That is after 9-11 and the horse had long ago left the barn).

Rudy, the pro-abort, pro-gay, pro-ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT, will milk 9/11 until the day he dies, probably in the bed of his mistress...

Thought Referee? Thought Police?

Whatever.

When someone posts obvious bias (in this case jumping on the comparison of Rudy/9ll atrocity/abortion atrocity and not Rudy/gun control/Presidential aspirations, etc. -because this is a thread about 9ll and should be reverent) then anyone may point that out. CBart95, you don't own this forum.

Hi 2banana-

Please give it a rest with everything somehow relating to abortions.

It makes the discussion predictable and trite.

I don't remember but it did not sound like very much as far as usable information goes. Maybe enough to have gotten a FISA warrant to look into the flight schools though.

"you don't own this forum".

What a nice to say to a perfect stranger.

I'm blushing.

Some people just light up a room when they enter!

This thread is about a multitude of items and yours is the first I've heard of any sort of subject restriction in all the years I've been a member.

Thanks for the "help".

I have no clue what you are talking about.

"This thread is about a multitude of items and yours is the first I've heard of any sort of subject restriction in all the years I've been a member."

Please copy where I promoted subject restriction on this thread.

"Abortion" is an odd, out of the blue subject.

No one had mentioned any aspect of "abortion" on this thread.

"Abortion" as a subject appears as an unwholesome "mess" in the church "collection basket".

What's that doing here?

Is there perhaps an obsessive -compulsive mental patient loose in the room?

Actually, you might want to read post #3 above. I think that is where it all started.

Immigration politics have similarly harmed New York. Former mayor Rudolph Giuliani sued all the way up to the Supreme Court to defend the city’s sanctuary policy against a 1996 federal law decreeing that cities could not prohibit their employees from cooperating with the INS. Oh yeah? said Giuliani; just watch me. The INS, he claimed, with what turned out to be grotesque irony, only aims to “terrorize people.” Though he lost in court, he remained defiant to the end. On September 5, 2001, his handpicked charter-revision committee ruled that New York could still require that its employees keep immigration information confidential to preserve trust between immigrants and government. Six days later, several visa-overstayers participated in the most devastating attack on the city and the country in history.

Lines similar to the one illustrated above allow thread participants to see to which post the person is replying. You can also click on the referenced number (shown in red) to take you directly to that post to refresh one's memory. I use that feature all the time because it's the only way to remember exactly what someone said several pages earlier. Hope that helps.

Ok, where are the admonishments to those posters...

I am not responsible for running around FR "admonishing" others. I merely reacted to a single post I happened to see here, and expressed my opinion. Don't like it? Too bad. Say your peace then take your posse and go bug someone else.

Actually, I can help you on that...

Upside::: My wife woke me up when Fox reported the first hit... I got out of the rack and grabbed a cuppa joe and watched in curiousity thinking what kinda of nimrod pilot would crash into the WTC...

She was getting ready to dash off to work as we both stared numbly at the screen as the 2nd jet crashed into the other tower... I hit the record button on the vcr... screaming at the tube "Accident my ass! This is WAR!!!" We both grabbed onto each other and tears of shock, anger, and an emotion I hadn't felt since engaging the enemy on the battlefield in Viet Nam...

The VCR was left recording for hours and hours, straight through, tape after tape...

The downside:::

Those tapes are in my summer house, which I won't go to for a few weeks to prepare for the move... I will find those tapes (I have literally thousands of them as recording movies has been a pet project for the past 15 years, of so), and I can be persuaded to dub you a copy of the first day of the War...

Freepmail me...

JD

Thank you for the presence of mind to keep a clear perspective,Kathy.

"The country still needs Pres Bush and Rudy."

And we need each other in this dire passage of our history...this war is far from over...and the enemy is unrelenting.

Differences of opinion on other issues need not be abandoned or even put aside. But while our very lives ,our homeland and our Way of Life is under siege, we need unity to preserve these precious freedoms and priviledges.
