Do "those people" understand the problem with this line of reasoning? If Bush "leaked" the information, then it's not a leak; it's "declassification". As the POTUS, he gets to do stuff like that. And, according to one executive order, Cheney also gets to declassify material as he sees fit. The last time I looked, it's not a crime for the POTUS or VPOTUS to declassify information. And not crime means no Merry Fitzmas.

I wasn't confused about that. I am confused about who is leaking grand jury documents to the media. I bet it's that darn Karl Rove again LOL

See my post
#10 on another thread. A 25 page "Key Judgments" document based on the NIE was released in Oct 2002. That means portions of the NIE were declassified well before July 2003.

Well if the prez is in trouble stocks will go down so by going short the play is to 1st sell short high let the market go down them back low. You are betting the market will go down. ...but then. If this turns out to be a molehill everybody scrambles back to buy ...buy! no sell! no wait sell

The left believes whatever it wants to believe, whether there's a basis for it in reality or not. They are the most self-deluded group of people on the planet.

Now MSNBC is running the story absent Plame's name just saying the President Authorized leaks of portions of the NIE. What a joke they are, make an allegation then instead of admitting they were wrong run the cheap way out!
MSNBC, THE PRESIDENT IS AUTHORIZED TO DISCLOSE THE NIE AT ANY TIME WHICH NEGATES THE TERM LEAK!!!

From the filing, page 23:
As to the meeting on July 8, defendant testified that he was specifically authorized in advance of the meeting to disclose the key judgments of the classified NIE to Miller on that occasion because it was thought that the NIE was pretty definitive against what Ambassador Wilson had said and that the Vice President thought that it was very important for the key judgments of the NIE to come out. Defendant further testified that he at first advised the Vice President that he could not have this conversation with reporter Miller because of the classified nature of the NIE. Defendant testified that the Vice President later advised him that the President had authorized defendant to disclose the relevant portions of the NIE. Defendant testified that he also spoke to David Addington, then Counsel to the Vice President, whom defendant considered to be an expert in national security law, and Mr. Addington opined that Presidential authorization to publicly disclose a document amounted to a declassification of the document.

Horse with no name, is from a hippie song made by the group America. These idiots are washed up hippies from the 60s. Their women probably have longer hair under their armpits than they had on their heads in the 60s.

Bush authorized the leak of sensitive intelligence information about Iraq, according to court papers filed by prosecutors in the CIA leak case. Did Bush tell Libby to lie to the Grand Jury or the FBI? Now if Bush authorizes the release of information it is not a leak since the President is allowed to do that.
Why the prosecution considers this relevant, I don't know, anyway isn't Cheney or Rove supposed to be indicted soon?

Lewis Libby testified to the grand jury investigating the Valerie Plame leak that Cheney told him to pass on the information and that it was Bush who authorized the leak, the court papers say. Double hearsay alert.
