He's got an agenda on both issues, and his position on each is seditious. On drugs, the Constitution doesn't matter, anything goes to get the evil druggies. On aliens, the Constitution doesn't matter, anything goes to keep these people here.

They are just as willing to pay Americans under the table as illegals.

Sure, for lower than market wages.

Our immigration policy needs repair. Not only should existing immigration laws be more strictly enforced and our borders better controlled, but U.S. employers who hire illegal immigrants should be stiffly fined. Immigrant admission rules should be revised to take into account a potential worker's education, skill, work experience and health, as well as other work-related characteristics.
From the article that you linked. I support Alfred Tella's opinion on this. And noticed that in his article there was no mention of building walls (economic barriers). It is notable that spending on border enforcement and employer compliance enforcement has increased since the formation of DHS, and the realignment of CBP, and ICE/USCIS (from INS). The points where I part ways with others here are: when someone advocates changing administrative laws from misdemeanors to felonies, and creating more government programs to dig into privacy; as well as promoting building a wall (especially on the Texas side of the border). I am against a blanket amnesty, because it disadvantages (and cheapens) those that follow the rules & laws. The IRS has established guidelines on what constitutes a resident alien, and it is different from USCIS. Such inconsistencies between federal agencies should be resolved -by congress- before they spout off the inflammatory rhetoric. My evaluation of this "immigration reform" issue is that congress sees about $50 billion dollars sitting in SSA that has been put in by ITIN's and numbers with errors, and they want to raid this money for their districts. And whipping up the W-2 wage slaves (which I am not) into a frenzy, showing a need for a National Citizenry Database that will get funded by fees paid (by the other guy), will garner political loyalty for the dims; while dividing conservatives.

" This is your argument? And you call this an "exact comparison"? You're joking right?

The destructive effects of drugs on the individual and society are the same whether they are illegal or legal."

Where do you think most of the drugs come from?

You crack me up ...LOL

Who do you think is committing 40% of the crimes against individuals and society? You don't think that is distructive. You might tell that to the family of this coach that was killed by one(todays news).

http://www.thekansascitychannel.com/news/8487197/detail.html

Tell that to all the rape victums since illegals are known to be very active in that area.

Your eyes are sealed shut.

ACME Construction shouldn't have to start paying people under the table in order to stay competitive with AAA Construction across town that does it routinely.

Sure. Illegal immigration is just as illegal as speeding, jay-walking, or driving after drinking. Which a huge percent of Americans have done.

No, it is more like theft. Which most have NOT done. And it is a continuing crime -- theft every time an illegal child goes to school or an illegal alien goes to the hospital. IT is a daily theft that keeps going anf going and going.

So, you are ok with everyone hiring "off the books?"

Of course not.
My point was that working "under the table" was certainly not unique to illegals. Americans do it all the time.

Actually, your posts have been pretty reasonable.

Thanks. I really expected to be attacked a lot worse than I have been on these threads. I'm surprised.

But a sizeable percentage of the horde of illegals I know don't care to become legal if it isn't given to them. So while I suspect SOME would sign up for guest worker, an important question no one is addressing is what percentage actually would? If it is only 20%, then the problem still exists.

I agree. And I don't think many people would be against holding accountable those who spit on the generosity of Americans in this case.

Come to think about it...How was it that the illegal teen involved in the manslauter care accident was driving a car?

According to this then he could not have a license. So how many laws did he break?

You sicken me. You're an open enemy of the freedom of American citizens. A person like you on a site called Free Republic is an exercise in titanic gall.

What a bunch of legalistic mumbo-jumbo....get real.

How many people would consider an illegal's child getting treatment for an illness at a hospital, just as evil a crime as an American getting behind the wheel drunk and endangering lives of many?

Your attempts to present illegal immigrants in the worst light possible has caused you to resort to irrational comparisons.

One by one immediately deport anyone who can't produce documents in random police stops.

There is a good example of the land of the free, and the home of the brave. With this kind of program, we can just do away with the 4th amendment. Why wait until people are in public? Heck, we could start a confidential informant program and get no-knock warrants. Screw due process! All we need to do is increase the threat level to red, gun down anybody that resists, and everything will be perfect. Right?

Geez! Prove you wrong on one irrational point and you go off on another tangent.

Do you realize how disconnected and lacking in cohesion your arguments are?

Reminds me of an American born friend of mine who was arrested for drunk driving.

The Judge in the case ruled that he would have his driver's license suspended.
Only problem is, he NEVER had a license to begin with.

We laughed our a**** off while getting smashed in my apt after he got out.

I don't want to let that go by though. You sound like a real contributer to society yourself.

Sen. Sessions is on C-span 2 right now, tearing this bill apart!

Too bad I missed it. Stupid MSM earlier was showing an interview with Dick Durbin and John Cornyn. Cornyn was more or less saying some of the right things, but being rather limp-wristed about it all, and not taking Durbin to task about his more outrageous statements (such as his claim that the enforcement route is something we've already tried - yeah right).

Your contempt for our country couldn't be clearer. I'll laugh my a** off when you are a smear on the road from a drunk unlicensed illegal invader who is hauling in the drugs that folks like you make profitable.
