Wow. Looks like another great piloting job may have saved many lives. I'm in awe of the people who fly these huge machines. They are so calm under stressful conditions. I hope nobody sustained severe injuries.
Oh, geez. That severed the passenger compartment. I guess the blessing is they can hold up to 75 people (IIRC), and these early reports are only stating 17 on board (including crew).
Vertical stabilizer is gone....
Cargo pallet came loose on impact, no fire. Crew compartment appears intact.
If everyone were strapped in (and NOT near the pallet!) they might be OK.
Holy tamales! Its a MIRACLE no one was killed (and that it did not burst into flames!!
