The reason why the Clinton administration covered up the truth about OKC is because Clinton had a two fold agenda for his "legacy" and future after the White House.

He was trying to get the Nobel Peace Prize and then wanted to replace Kofi Anna. If Clinton let out the truth about OKC then he would have had to respond. That would have meant War in the Middle East and the end of his shot at the Peace Prize.

That is why he never responded to the Cole, the Khobar towers, Etc, Etc. He wanted to be remembered for bringing peace to the middle east. He didn't care that even if he had succeeded that it would have been temporary, that way even when that peace failed he could always say that the next president screwed it up.

President Clinton had invaded Haiti, bombed Bosnia, sent cruise missiles into Afghanistan and Sudan, bombed Iraq, and waged the entire 1999 war against Serbia by the time the USS Cole was attacked in 2000.

Frankly, WJC's chances for the Nobel Peace Prize were greatly reduced when he burned and leveled the Branch Davidian compound near Waco back in 1993. His involvement in Somalia hardly led to world peace, either.

So while the NPP angle makes for a good theory, it doesn't match enough facts on the ground.

"He (Clinton) was trying to get the Nobel Peace Prize"

Tx,

He got it, with the Ozlo Accord and Rabin and Arafat shaking hands, and from a historical perspective it was as worthless as Arafat's words.

Now do you know who the Israeli's released one of 600, I believe as part of that agreement?

You guessed it Mohammad Atta.

Now add the Cole, Black Hawk Down, The 1st World Trade Center Bombings, and not getting Osama after he was darn near handed to him on a plate and you get the picture of a dysfunctional President not dealing with a true problem and focusing on the appearances of a good economy and Morris driven pole numbers.

Not to mention all the OKC alternative thinking, i.e. J. Davis and A.E. Pritchard, TWA 800, etc. and then you are in conspiratorial territory, which makes the dominant media's eyes glaze over. Heck they don't even want to go near "Able Danger" which is a Clinton/Gorelick mess which is as subtle as stepping on a rake and hitting yourself in the face, this one does and they still won't go near it because like the rake it really smarts them and they guy they sacrificed everything for.

However, at some point, 10 or 20 years hence when the Clinton presidency is looked at by historian's, the non conspiratorial stuff alone will raise red flags of incompetence by at least one man or women of courage. Somehow someway the message will get to the Non-Freeper types, and they may be infuriated by the opportunity lost of potentially nipping 9/11 in the bud in the 90's when Clinton could have done it with very little opportunity cost, vs. the price we are paying now and will continue to pay for some time to come.
