4/2/2006 7:08:00 AM -0400 Fox: Mexico has own immigration woes

CANCUN, Mexico, April 2 (UPI) -- While assuring the United States he is trying to stem the flow of Mexicans into the country, President Vicente Fox says Mexico has its own border problems.

"We are working in the inner part and in the southern part of the country to stop migration flows that come from Central America that are crossing illegally the southern border of Mexico," Fox said.

Mexico has caught and sent home some 240,000 illegal immigrants in the past year, The Washington Times reported Sunday.

In two days of meetings with U.S. President George Bush and Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper last week, Fox also pledged to reduce border violence and illegal-alien smuggling, and to work to boost jobs so that fewer Mexicans feel the need to leave the country and look for work in the United States.

Good, he should control his country's border, we should control ours.

Oh, well, then, we're sure you'll understand when then fence poles and concertina wire are dropped off at the U.S.-Mexico border sometime in the hopefully near future.

Hypocrisy so thick you are tempted to use a knife to cut it, but will need a jackhammer.

Minefields would also be good.

If one were to think about what Fox said, they would realize that he is only hurting his position. If illegals can come into southern Mexico, those same people Fox is worried about, can make it into the US.

240,000 illegal alien ivaders is not a problem...

Try 10-20 million..figuring 30% illegal alien prison population add another 20% criminals who have escaped arrest thats 5-10 million criminal illegals coming to America or already in hiding here and further entrenching themselves with anchor babies...

That ain't just a problem that's a weapon of mass destruction for an economy and a culture.

imo

Who gives a rip?

Mexico's problems are their own, self-inflicted as well.

Laughable rhetoric. 240k compared to what? Nobody migrates to Mexico to stay in the hell hole called Mexico. It's a route to the US border. Fox could care less as long as they keep heading north and take a few locals with them. And George Bush is narrow minded enough on this subject to just clap his hands with glee.

Mexico jails people for 10 years for illegal immigration. They don't give them welfare, either, yet, Fox thinks we should welcome his invaders and give them money.

More lip service from Vinny.

Motion detector-activated machine guns, eh? Just like in Aliens. Maybe that picture should be renamed Illegal Aliens.
