I'm trying to transcribe all the lies, but frankly I need help!

I didn't SEE it...or know about it until tonight..

He said that Brit said that living in California was more dangerous for Americans, than living in Iraq...

because there were appro. 6.3 deaths per day..(can't remember the exact number)...to 1.3 deaths of Americans in Iraq...

I guess he was questioned about how that analogy doesn't hold up because of the difference in number of Cali citizens compared to American troops in Iraq...

Supposedly, Brit replied that perhaps the analogy wasn't exact, but it was indicative of something...

I guess Franken got upset by that, and went off...cursing, using the "F" word about Brit...telling him he should apologize to the families of the troops, for being so cavalier about their deaths,...and possible deaths...

Then, he said it was okay...because he isn't the Vice President cursing on the Senate floor....???? Talk about a non-sequitor.

I think Timmy just brought it up....so he could get Brit's name out there in a negative way...which surely WORKED.

It's the hatred.
It has rotted them from the inside.
I watch these interviews and a small part of me is always waiting for their heads to explode.

Because they wait for the DNC to tell them what to think and say, they assume we do the same. That's why they think Rush tells us what to think rather than saying what we already thought.

Unfortunately, this is absolutely right. Before I stopped arging with liberals, I found precious few that actually did any homework on their own- they'd just parrot crap back that they'd read in The Nation or someplace.

I stopped arguing with them. I stopped because every time that I'd pin one to the wall with facts that they just could not deny, they'd get this unfocused, distant gaze for a few seconds and then change the subject. I saw this over and over again. It was a complete waste of time.

He's pretty damn good at changing the subject when he's backed into a corner- which appears to be often.

Lefties do that. It never occurs to some people that if you can be backed into a corner- maybe you're in error to begin with.

I would expect that anybody with the capacity to reason would see that as a cue to re-evaluate their position and opinions.

"We'll see if he brings up the Boys/Girls club loan."

Of course he will. And as soon as Franken finishes answering that truthfully, Russert will ask Franken why none of the top media people that met with John Kerry in Franken's apartment in December 2003, to urge Kerry to renounce his vote for the Iraq War in exchange for the media's support in destroying Howard Dean's candidacy for the Dem Presidential nomination, have ever mentioned the meeting, not in print, on radio, or television.

Why the secrecy? Did Russert know about this meeting to plot the media's selection of a Democrat candidate? Were Russert's interviews with Dean and Kerry during the Primary campaign influenced by the decisions made by the media at this meeting in Al Franken's apartment?

In December 2003 Howard Dean was ahead of all Dem primary candidates; Kerry had already been written off. After that meeting in Al Franken's apartment the media, en masse, day in day out, in print, on tv, on radio, asked the same question over and over: can this country doctor from a small state, a man with no military experience, a vocal critic of President Bush, and a guy who shoots from the hip, be elected in a time of war?

Kerry kept his promise to Franken's guests and renounced his, Kerry's, vote for the Iraq War, and denounced Bush, Cheney, Wolfowitz, Rumsfeld, as liars who had duped him. He was rewarded by a media who portrayed him as the Dem's new messiah, day in day out, throughout the primary campaign.

Did Russert approve of using the power of the press, (and the people who met in Al Franken's apartment are very powerful,) to bribe a sitting senator with the promise of the presidency if the senator retracted his vote and his support for a war in which our troops were, and still are, fighting and dying?

So many questions. Too few men of honour.

The population of Iraq is 26,074,906

The population of California is 35,893,799

Pop of Iraq is 72.6 percent of the population of California. 4.57 deaths per day is 72.6 percent of 6.3 deaths per day.

Advantage Brit....

I won't call it a lie, I'll call it idiotic spewing.

WOW...great post.

Thanks for the "facts"...something that was in short supply on the show tonight, and in Franken's book it seems.

Amazing how Russert features lefty after lefty on this interview show, now really reaching the bottom of the barrel with Franken - rarely does a conservative appear, and when he/she does, there's always a left-winger on the same program to help protect Russert - any bets as to when Ann Coulter or David Horowitz will be invited to appear solo with Timmy? - I thought not........
