And naturally you assume that that was because of a law that the people themselves voted for. Of course! It's always been a bedrock principle of politics that you can't let people vote for something that's unpopular. :-S

I remember when the GOP once had an electoral lock on the Presidency because of California. That's now gone. You cannot p!$$ off an entire large block of the electorate and expect to go on winning elections. This is politics 101. President Bush did better in 2004 than 2000 because of the Hispanic vote. Now you people are threatening to destroy all that. And if you do, we will have to wait at least a generation or more to get it back. Again, this is a political trainwreck waiting to happen, just as it did in 1992.

Again, no facts whatsoever to back up your arguments, just a bunch of superheated pap. According to Rich Lowry (writing in 2003): "No wonder people voted for Proposition 187, including 31 percent of Hispanics. The GOP wasn't hurt by it. Republicans were getting about 30 percent of the Hispanic vote before Proposition 187, and have been getting about 30 percent since. Their basic political problem with Hispanics is that they are poor, and poor people vote for Democrats."

Now, where are your facts that contradict him on this?

Is that an admission that illegal aliens vote?

Perhaps that is the danger in having immigration policy so heavily tilted towards on particular group.
