LIBERTY, Mo. -- A youth minister in Missouri has been charged with assault for allegedly knocking down a 16-year-old boy and kicking him in the groin during a dodgeball game.
Authorities said the teen had missed David M. Boudreaux, 27, with one throw, but then knocked his glasses off with another.
The boy apologized, but authorities said Boudreaux pushed him backwards and then kicked him in the groin when the teen got up again.
Court records said the boy suffered whiplash, post-concussion syndrome, had blood in his urine and other injuries.
Prosecutors said Boudreaux later apologized, but an administrator at Crescent Lake Christian Academy said he's been placed on administrative leave.
We called that one “Kill the Man with the Ball”. And we had a GREAT time playing it! (With only minor injuries sustained, the worst of which was wounded pride.)
Regards,
Getting kicked in the nuts is a good way to lose one. I read about a teen boy who cupped another kid, and it twisted and had to be removed.
This is from THO, right?
I still care, I didn’t realize you were speaking of your own incident as a mother. All in all, the facts of the article don’t suggest the 16 year old was only a few feet from the minister.
I just can’t figure out what would drive the man to kick the player in the groin. He needs to find other work.
“No protective equipment either.”
Playing full contact sandlot football was great fun when I was a kid until my nose got moved an inch to the left.
“I just cant figure out what would drive the man to kick the player in the groin.”
A gross misinterpretation of “an eye for an eye.” :-)
Good one. And by the way, what the story doesn't say is that the youth minister was sitting on the bleachers at the time of the attack holding his one year old son. And yes, I am making this up.
We called it "Kill the Man with the Ball"
Hello! So strange this thread would be picked up this morning. As of right now, I am making dentist arrangements to do MORE work on my son’s front tooth. This time it’s going to cost me at least another $500.
This happened probably about 8 years ago. He’s 20 now, and after all these years we are still fooling with this stupid tooth.
By the way, I found out that the kid who hit my son in the face is in longtime jail. But I’m not surprised. When I called up the mother after, she said, “What do you expect me to do about it?” He was about 16 when my son was 12, if I recall correctly.
And the guy that kicked the kid in the groin is obviously unsuitable to work around kids. I know it hurts, but I’ve had kids practically take me out, all in innocence.
