McKinney faces arrest over security incident

Capitol Hill police are expected to seek an arrest warrant next week for Rep. Cynthia McKinney of Georgia, who was involved in a physical confrontation with a Capitol police officer Wednesday, police and legal authorities said Thursday.

Officially, the investigation of the incident, in which the DeKalb County Democrat allegedly struck a police officer who tried to stop her from going around a security checkpoint, is ongoing, said Sgt. Kimberly Schneider, spokeswoman for Capitol Hill police.

However, police have notified the federal prosecutor's office in Washington that they will be seeking an arrest warrant after the investigation is complete next week, said police and legal authorities, who spoke on the condition that they not be named because the investigation was not yet complete.

McKinney ignored a reporter's questions Thursday as she walked into the Capitol, before word of the planned arrest warrant. She could not be reached for comment later Thursday. . . .

That picture is almost as scary as this one.

This is how I remember seeing her when she was buttering up to President Bush after one of his speeches.

I can see why one might not have recognized her. Even if one could have recognized her, the gall of her to think she is better then anyone else and does not have to wear the pin that shows she is a representative is reprehensible.

Last year and this, Leftie Dem Congresswimmen brought Code Pink disrupters into the Inauguration and a notorious agitator, Cindy Sheehan, into the State of the Union speech.

Wasn't it McKinney that invited Cindy Sheehan to the State of the Union address this January?

At the very least, she should have been Tasered. Well, I hope the Capitol Hill police haul her to jail.

As Speaker Hastert mentioned, it was quite ironic that this filthy POS decided to assault a policeman on the same day the Dims came out with their new national security strategy!!

"Any wonder the Capitol Police didn't recognize her ... "

I can appreciate the different look as you have so skillfully ponted it out, but as for the enforcement of the law, everyone is suposed to have to go through the metal dectector.

Perhaps especially the crazy-looking ones.

She didn't really assault an officer, she was demonstrating how the dems plan to get Osama by poking him the eye with their cell phones...

They should've drug tested her for this violent outburst. Is she friends with Whitney Houston by any chance?
