I can't believe this is happening! Would you take a look at that sign, kinda like the Mexican woman at the bus stop, day after day she asked me questions about the bus, one day, nicely, I suggested she take an English course and learn English, she then , immediately said, "English, no!" ho hum

What's interesting is that they're suddenly so blatant with this. Okay, maybe I've been too complacent to see it all these years, but this is just entirely too "in your face" for ANYONE to miss.

My husband grew up in a border town in Texas. Even 30 years ago these La Raza groups would hold big rallies, then the Mexican kids would get all worked up and large roving gangs would beat up every white kid they saw the next day. It's been going on for decades, but not quite so much in the glaring spotlight. And the pot is getting ready to boil over. I see violent clashes on the horizon.....

I have often wondered what I would do if I found out my neighbor who keeps his yard immaculate and is a wonderful neighbor were illegal. We have assumed for the last two years that he is on a visa. He doesn't speak English well, but keeps trying. He has told my children that he loves America and that things are much better than where he came from. Two of his grandchildren speak perfect English, so often translate. (I think they should take the time to teach their grandpa English). He keeps trying to learn the language, though. Once I couldn't communicate something and said, "I haven't been practicing Spanish." He said, "No. I need to learn English." About a year after being introduced to his youngest grandson -- Jorge(sp?) -- he started talking about him as George. Now, his family calls him Georgie.
