Thank God you have some reasoning on this thread. I cant believe a bunch of grown men and women are acting like this and encouraging this stuff. This needs to calm down quick.

and if push came to shove, and we actually had to fight for this country, would that be you, standing on the sidelines, calling for peace? Was that your ancestor during the beginnings of the revolutionary war, quaking in their boots and running away?

Roger? Is that you?

Do you see whites and blacks marching to evict Hispanics lately? Calm down? This is the tip of the iceberg, boyo. Btw, I'm pre Vatican II.

Ok Noob. As a Catholic who is constantly reminded why I don't give a damn about the church anymore, what is your solution? Kumbaya? Give peace "another" chance?

Surrender never ever works.

As I've said before, I don't advocate doing rallies where you burn flags. Or, generally, burning any flag for any reason. That would show we're as bad as them. But i do have to admit it's somewhat nice to see that kids will stand up for America. They may not have done the right thing, but its still somewhat reassuring.

So, does that mean you approve of the Mescin flag flying in American cities?

Why do things need to calm down? Do we calm down to the point that we just idly accept whatever the leftists and Mexican Government wants to impose on this country?

No, it needs to be faced and resisted NOW. Across this country and physically if necessary.

Thank God our forefathers didn't have your outlook on things. We'd still be under Her Majesty the Queen.

Good morning.

Welcome to the FreeRepublic.

Is your diocese one of those that was out there supporting the protesters?

I see you are new to FR. Glad to have your comments. I see that your church which has been promoting an open border with Mexico has convinced you that we should greet them with open arms.

I don't agree with the Catholic bishops. If Mexicans want to come to the US then they need to do it by coming through our border stations and not across the open desert. We are a nation of laws, not lawbreakers.

La Raza is promoting recognition of the Spanish race and they are promoting the massive marches demanding rights that belong to US citizens.

Adult Mexicans are coaching these Mexican children. Kids don't cut class for marches unless they have adult prompting. They don't block freeways without adult prompting. They sure as hell don't pull down the American flag and replace it with the flag of Mexico without adult prompting.

Just because your priests say you should welcome our neighbors to the South doesn't mean we are going to educate, medicate or feed them willingly. Nor are we going to tolerate their national flag being placed above ours on our flag poles.

I think the adult Mexicans who are guiding these marches are trying to get as much for their efforts as possible. They have seen how Americans are now behaving as sheeple and they are making a mistake in my view if they are thinking that we won't defend our nation from foreign invaders.

If they keep pushing, yes then the patriots guns will come out and they will be loaded. People will die. So perhaps you should best be telling your priests to bring this to a halt before they start receiving requests for funeral masses at your local churches.

Keep in mind that this is America and not another state in Mexico where the people behave because they are afraid of their own policemen. The last thing illegal aliens or Mexican nationals want to do is get the American people thinking that it is time for us citizens to defend our homes.

catholicfreeper.....I'm going to cut to the chase. LA Catholics want the money. They realize most Mexicans are......Catholics.....and thus can fill the offering buckets on Sundays.

Follow the money!

Baloney. There needs to be more actions like this one. Why should a foreign flag ever be allowed to take the place of the American one?

I tend to agree.
I can picture frenzied mobs burning flags and effigies in backward Islamic and third world countries....but don't like to see it here.
It's embarrassing to such primitive forms of antagonism between groups in this country.
I hope cooler heads prevail.

where did you get your training in standing firm and protecting your country?[--should we all just allow these "illegals" to run roughshod over the USA and suck multi millions out of our economy for 'cheap lettuce'?---do you have a "illegal" cutting your grass or cleaning your home or working in your business for low wages?--I am proud to see some American kids standing up for their country since our leaders allowed the "illegals" to march in our streets and trample on MY FLAG
