One Step Beyond
Not to be confused with the early '80's song by the British group Madness, this series was hosted by John Newland and produced during the same period as the more well-known Twilight Zone. The difference was that the stories were presented as fact. No resloution was ever offered to the paranormal mysteries shown, leaving it up to the viewer to decide if they were real or not.
Night Gallery
Rod Serling's second anthology series went on the air five years after the Twilight Zone was cancelled. Although not as critically well received as Serling's earlier series, a number of memorable episodes were made, including "They're Tearing Down Tim Reilly's Bar," "The Caterpillar," "Pickman's Model," "Class of 99" and many others. Each episode was introduced with its own unique painting, along with droll commentary by Serling.
Tales From The Darkside
Another fantasy show in the Twilight Zone mold, this series was shown in syndication from 1983 to 1988. Like The Twilight Zone and Night Gallery, many of the episodes were adaptations of previously published stories.
