Yeah. All that stuff is out there. Land's End, for example, offers jeans in at least 4 heights of rise, to suit almost any figure. They fit, too, according to my wife, who shops there almost exclusively.

For teens, though, it's a tougher deal. They're dealing with peer pressure and want to shop in the stylish stores frequented by their friends. That makes it a little more difficult.

I buy from Land's End as well, everything from swimwear to casual to business. And they hem to length at no charge, a real advantage to us "stature challenged" women out there.

What I could never figure out is what the heck happened between 1992 and 1995 to teenage fashion and parental common sense. In High School, I don't recall there being low cut shirts, mid-rif exposure, etc. There was no pressure to be a slut. Then one day in 1995, I went out to get Pizza with a buddy, and went to the first teenage hangout I'd been in about 3-4 years. What a shock! Every girl in there looked like a little hooker! I turned to my friend and asked him WTF happened that girls are suddenly dressing like that?

But as a parent, why would you let your child give in to peer pressure? Today it's clothing, tomorrow it's experimenting with sex and/or drugs. But, Dad, Mom, all the kids are doing it! I don't want to be different!

Land's End clothes are the opposite of what's in the stores: they're too old-fashioned. I like a pair of casual slacks or jeans that sit at the waist and have some flare at the bottom, such as bootcut. Is that too much to ask?
